The 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA), music's biggest event for families, will take place SATURDAY, APRIL 30 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and will be televised SUNDAY, MAY 1 (7:00-9:00 p.m. EDT) on Disney Channel. The special telecast, "Disney Channel Presents the 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards" will include performances by Ariana Grande, Daya, DNCE, Flo Rida, Hailee Steinfeld, Jordan Smith, Kelsea Ballerini, Laura Marano, Sabrina Carpenter, Sofia Carson and Zara Larsson. A special surprise by Justin Bieber performing in a class at a Tulsa, Oklahoma high school will also be presented exclusively during the televised special.

Gwen Stefani will be honored with the 2016 RDMA 'Hero' Award in recognition of the positive impact she has on fans, inspiring them to do good.

More votes than ever -- over 238 million from around the world -- were cast for the 2016 RDMA across five polling platforms: the Radio Disney App, Disney.com/RDMA, Twitter, Facebook and Google OneBox. Categories include "The Bestest - Song of the Year," "The Buzz - Breakout Artist of the Year" and "That's My Jam - Best Anthem." Winners of RDMA nominations will be awarded with the uniquely Radio Disney "ARDY" statuette.

Viewers around the world will be able to Shazam the special during select moments for bonus behind the scenes content from Radio Disney.
