SEASON EIGHT WINNER SAWYER FREDERICKS AND HOT BAND DNCE TO APPEAR ON "THE VOICE" TUESDAY, MAY 3

Former "Voice" Champ to Perform Single "4 Pockets" While Joe Jonas-Led Group to Sing "Cake By the Ocean" and "Toothbrush" Medley

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - April 29, 2016 - Season eight winner Sawyer Fredericks will make his return to "The Voice" on Tuesday, May 3 to perform his new Pharrell Williams-produced single, "4 Pockets," from his new album, "A Good Storm" (Republic Records), due May 13. On the same night, the Joe Jonas-led group DNCE will perform a medley of their singles "Cake By the Ocean" and "Toothbrush."

As a member of Team Pharrell on the two-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series, Fredericks not only won season eight but also set a record for the first artist to have 14 songs in the iTunes Top 200 singles chart in one week. His songs were downloaded nearly 1 million times on iTunes while he was on the show.

For the bulk of the music on the album, Fredericks collaborated with producers Mikal Blu & Izy (One Republic, Colbie Caillat, Jazon Mraz) as well as his "Voice" coach Pharrell Williams.

The music video for the single "Take It All" premiered last month and has a combined view/stream count of nearly 1 million on YouTube and Spotify.

Fredericks will be touring in support of the new album, beginning May 8 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Fredericks grew up on an 88-acre farm in upstate New York. His shyness belies an intense empathy and vibrantly robust voice honed by performing weekly at a local farmers market and cutting his own independent debut locally. Upon his debut on "The Voice," he quickly enchanted audiences everywhere.

Formed in the summer of 2015, DNCE first introduced themselves to audiences worldwide with the release of their debut single "Cake By the Ocean" and have since gone on to become one of 2016's most buzzworthy acts. A top-10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, "Cake By the Ocean" is now certified platinum and has entered the top 3 on the Pop Songs Radio Chart and climbing. The track also vaulted to #1 on Spotify's Global Viral and U.S. Viral 50 charts and reached #6 on the iTunes Overall Top Songs chart. To date, the song's worldwide video views are nearly 60 million and counting.

Internationally, "Cake By the Ocean" reached Top 10 on iTunes in more than 10 countries and has generated over 150 million streams on Spotify. What's more, the band's debut EP, "Swaay" (Republic Records), entered the top 10 of the iTunes Pop Chart upon its release and has spent more than four months on the Billboard 200 chart.

Assembled by frontman Joe Jonas, DNCE's all-star bandmates include bassist/keyboardist Cole Whittle, who co-founded the band Semi Precious Weapons; South Korean-bred guitarist JinJoo, who has toured with the Jonas Brothers, Charli XCX and CeeLo Green; and drummer Jack Lawless, who has previously joined the Jonas Brothers, Night Terrors of 1927 and Soft Swells on the road.

Next up, DNCE will be the opening act for multiplatinum singer and actress Selena Gomez' 2016 "Revival Tour" this summer.

So far this season, "The Voice" has averaged a 3.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 14.1 million viewers overall, according to "live plus seven day" averages from Nielsen Media Research. "The Voice" remains #1 this season among alternative series in adults 18-49 and total viewers in "most current" results for its Monday edition and continues to lead NBC to regular nightlong wins on both Monday and Tuesday nights.

"The Voice" is a presentation of MGM Television, Talpa Media USA Inc. and Warner Horizon Television. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as executive producer along with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Jay Bienstock, Lee Metzger and Chad Hines.
