VALERIE BERTINELLI ENTERTAINS FRIENDS & FAMILY ON THE RETURN OF "VALERIE'S HOME COOKING"

Series Returns Saturday, June 11th at 12pm ET/PT

New York - May 4, 2016 - As a Golden Globe(R) award-winning actress with a passion for cooking, Valerie Bertinelli never misses an opportunity to prepare a delicious dinner for her family, or have friends over for a mouthwatering meal. On the new season of Valerie's Home Cooking, beginning on Saturday, June 11th at 12pm ET/PT on Food Network, Valerie is back in the kitchen sharing her tips for easy-to-make, delicious dishes and homemade recipes, adding her own signature touches and flavor along the way. From Father's Day fare, to stress-free summer fiestas, to backyard barbeques, every meal is full of irresistible food, great company and lots of laughs, so come into her kitchen to see what is cooking.

"In every episode, Valerie serves up her warm, welcoming personality, delicious dishes, and incredible passion for cooking and entertaining friends and family," said Didi O'Hearn, Senior Vice President Programming, Food Network & Cooking Channel. "Her infectious enthusiasm for making a meal a memorable experience to be shared with loved ones is incomparable, and makes viewers feels like they are right there joining in on all the fun."

Over the course of the 13 half-hour long episodes, Valerie is inspired by family recipes that have been passed down through the generations, giving them her own fresh and modern twist. On the premiere, Valerie invites her Hot In Cleveland co-stars Jane Leeves, Wendie Malick and Betty White over for appetizers before heading to dinner at a restaurant. Valerie feels the pressure to really impress them with the perfect pre-dinner bites. On the menu are succulent Short Ribs Stacks, authentic Chicken Satay with Peanut Sauce, and Mini-Roasted Potatoes with Eggplant Caviar served with a Cucumber Spritz to wash it all down. With all these savory starters, the ladies will need to remember to save room for their meal.

Whether it is an Italian feast stuffed with Sausage and Peppers Sliders with chef Alex Guarnaschelli, or a new take on a classic retro dinner of Tuna Noodle Casserole to share with husband Tom Vitale, or a Mexican themed fiesta full of Green Chile Queso and Blackened Catfish Tacos with Michelle Branch, Krissy Lefebvre, Kelly Oxford and Melissa Peterman, Valerie serves a special meal every time.

Fans can find Valerie's family-inspired recipes, go behind-the-scenes to learn more about her cooking influences, and check out family photos and video exclusives on FoodNetwork.com/Valerie. They can also join the conversation on Twitter using #HomeCooking.

Two-time Golden Globe(R) award-winning actress, Valerie Bertinelli, first became a household name for her role as Barbara on CBS' long-running series, One Day At A Time. Over the years, her career expanded to include television personality, spokesperson and best-selling New York Times author of Losing It, Finding It: And Satisfying My Hunger for Life Without Opening the Fridge and One Dish At A Time. Bertinelli has also helped develop, produce and star in several television movies and mini-series, and in August 2012 she received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. She most recently starred as Melanie Moretti in TV Land's critically-acclaimed sitcom Hot in Cleveland, and co-hosts Food Network's Kids Baking Championship as well as culinary competition Food Network Star: Comeback Kitchen beginning in May.

Valerie's Home Cooking is produced by Bunim/Murray Productions in association with Bertinelli/Grossbart/Schwartz.
