DEUCE, THE (HBO) - Michael Rispoli and Natalie Paul have both been cast in the period drama, about the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York's Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s. The former will play Rudy Pipilo, "a Gambino family capo running Midtown, Rudy represents the Mob's financial interests in the sex business while indulging his personal interest in the women at its center"; with Paul as Sandra Washington, "smart and hungry, Sandra is a driven newspaper reporter who probes the sex industry of Times Square from the street-level prostitutes and pimps to the moneyed investors and politicians who pull the strings." MINDY PROJECT, THE (Hulu) - Chris Messina has stepped down as a series regular on the series however the actor, who plays Danny, will continue as a recurring guest star. (TVLine.com)
NASHVILLE (ABC) - The recently axed Alphabet drama is reportedly "inching closer to a pickup by country music-themed cable network CMT." (Deadline.com)
REIGN (The CW) - Will Kemp ("Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce") has booked a three-episode arc on the series as Lord Darnley, "a character based on the real-life English nobleman who would become the second husband of Mary Queen of Scots (Adelaide Kane)." SANTA CLARITA DIET (Netflix) - Mary Elizabeth Ellis ("The Grinder") will recur on the upcoming Drew Barrymore/Timothy Olyphant-led comedy as Lisa, their next door neighbor. "An outgoing party mom who doesn't mind conflict, Lisa says what she wants, no matter how inappropriate." (Deadline.com)
