ORIGINAL VOICE OF ICONIC OLMEC RETURNS TO NICKELODEON IN LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE TV MOVIE, PREMIERING THIS FALL

LOS ANGELES - June 22, 2016 - Dee Bradley Baker has joined the cast of Nickelodeon's upcoming action-adventure TV movie Legends of the Hidden Temple, based on by the network's iconic '90s game show of the same name. Baker, who served as the original show's voice of Olmec, will return in the new movie as the voice of the legendary talking head, helping guide cast members on the adventure of a lifetime. Baker joins previously announced stars Kirk Fogg, Isabela Moner, Colin Critchley and Jet Jurgensmeyer. The Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie is slated to debut on Nickelodeon in fall 2016.

Said Baker, "An entire generation grew up loving Legends of the Hidden Temple. It was my first television series, and it remains one of the most popular projects I've ever been lucky enough to have been involved with throughout my career. I'm thrilled that Kirk Fogg and I can once again man the temple as Nickelodeon brings it back in a fresh new way. This rock is once again ready to roll!"

Baker was cast as the voice of Olmec in Nickelodeon's Legends of the Hidden Temple in 1993, completing 120 episodes of the award-winning series. Since Legends of the Hidden Temple, Baker has voiced major roles including animated series American Dad!, SpongeBob SquarePants, Gravity Falls, Phineas and Ferb, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and The 7D, live-action series such as Shop 'til You Drop, films such as The Boxtrolls and video games such as Halo, Gears of War, Viewtiful Joe, and Spore.

The Legends of the Hidden Temple TV movie follows three siblings who break away from a lackluster tour in a jungle, finding themselves immersed in a high-stakes adventure comprised of obstacles that they must complete in order to escape alive. The TV movie will feature many elements from the original game show including: Olmec, a talking head who greets cast members Noah, Sadie and Dudley, and launches them on the adventure of a lifetime; The Steps of Knowledge, the entrance to the temple and launching pad for the mission; and appearances from a green monkey, red jaguar, and silver snakes, among others.

Legends of the Hidden Temple was executive produced by Scott McAboy and Jessica Rhoades, and produced by Amy Sydorick. The TV movie was directed by Joe Menendez (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series) and written by Jonny Umansky & Zach Hyatt, and Alex Reid.
