NEW SHOWS, NEW STARS GET COOKING AT FOOD NETWORK

NEW YORK - July 6, 2016 - Food Network's development and production team is in full gear this summer with a slew of new series and specials making their way on air and into production and dozens of pilots and new faces in development.

The Smolletts are set to premiere on Food Network in August with new series Smollett Eats, offering a first-hand look at this talented family as they braise, bake and grill their way through six episodes of food, family and fun. From putting on the perfect kids' birthday party, to throwing a midnight BBQ for their friends, these six siblings whip up some of their family's favorite recipes while giving us a glimpse into the relationships that make these brothers and sisters so much fun. Baby back ribs and pork chili verde are just some of the mouth-watering dishes that cooking ace Jake Smollett and his brothers, Jocqui, Jojo and Jussie, and sisters, Jazz and Jurnee, bring to the table. It's a meal you won't want to miss! Smollett Eats is produced by Triage Entertainment.

"It's an exciting time for Food Network as demand for food-centric content seems to be at an all-time high," said Didi O'Hearn, Senior Vice President Programming, Food Network & Cooking Channel. "We're looking forward to showcasing some fantastic new series, specials and stars on both networks and loading up our development slate with even more of what our audiences want to enjoy."

Food Network is also ordering to series, Ayesha's Homemade (wt) with Ayesha Curry, wife to NBA star Steph Curry and mom to two adorable daughters. The six episode series will be shot in the couple's home and feature Curry in her first hosting role on the network, showcasing her favorite and most cherished family recipes, as well as giving a glimpse into her life as viewers are given courtside seats as she plans, preps and serves up delicious meals to family and friends. Ayesha's Homemade (wt) is produced by High Noon Entertainment and is tentatively set to premiere in the fall.

Additionally, hitting the road this July, are two back-to-back specials including Nickel and Dining, produced by T Group and hosted by actor Greg Grunberg who brings his celebrity friends to try some of the highest-quality and affordable food that Los Angeles has to offer, premiering Sunday, July 17th at 4pm ET/PT followed at 4:30pm ET/PT by Mealin' & Dealin', produced by Citizen Pictures, featuring stand-up comic and food lover Ty Barnett making people laugh and digging into the best meal deals in town.

Adding more star power to the line-up with a unique twist, Cooking Channel is putting stars to work in new series, Star Plates, produced by Authentic Entertainment and Flower Films. The series features celebrities including Erin Andrews, Colin Hanks, Alyson Hannigan, Mindy Kaling, Busy Philipps and Minka Kelly stepping in as line cooks for their favorite chefs at their favorite restaurants for a one-night culinary crash course and an opportunity to make their dreams come true.
