Samantha Bee Heads to Presidential Conventions For TBS's First-Ever "Full Frontal with Samantha Bee" Special

Special Episode to Air Wednesday, July 20 @ 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT)

Samantha Bee, host of the acclaimed TBS late-night series Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, is hitting the road for her first special episode, A Very Special Full Frontal Special. Airing next week during the 2016 Republican National Convention, the half-hour special is set to premiere on Wednesday, July 20, at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT).

In A Very Special Full Frontal Special, Samantha Bee rewards her Emmy(R)-nominated writing staff by stuffing them in a hot bus and careening towards ground zero of Presidential Armageddon. The journey is akin to Sam and Frodo heading toward Mount Doom. In this case, Mount Doom is Cleveland. Along the way, they accidentally discover America and the concerned, excited and largely baffled people who live in it. Their trip culminates at the Republican National Convention on the eve of Donald Trump accepting the party's nomination for President of the United States. "We went out to listen to the American people and made a short film about the 2016 elections," Bee said of the special.

TBS airs new episodes of Full Frontal with Samantha Bee Mondays at 10:30 p.m. (ET/PT), followed by CONAN. The series reaches more than 3.2 million viewers per episode across TBS's linear, digital and mobile platforms. Online clips from the show have already generated 57 million views on the show's YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/fullfrontalsamb). Since its debut in February, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee has became one of late night's most buzzed-about and critically acclaimed shows, frequently cited as essential viewing during this election season. The series is executive-produced by Samantha Bee, Jason Jones, Jo Miller, Miles Kahn and Tony Hernandez.
