MTV Renews "Scream" for Third Season

MTV RENEWS "SCREAM" FOR THIRD SEASON

ALL TOGETHER NOW: YASSSSS

It's official: The bloodshed will continue.

MTV has renewed Scream for a third season, with six new episodes to premiere next year.

The horror series wrapped up its second installment in August with an OMG finale that revealed Emma's boyfriend Kieran as the latest Lakewood slasher. So not only was Mr. Wilcox doing a Billy Loomis with Em all along, but he'd also been assisting (and "banging" -- his word, not ours) Piper during the Season 1 massacre.

Members of the Scream Team who just can't wait 'til 2017 will get a fix on October 18 when the network airs a Halloween special. In it, Lakewood's most unlucky teens travel to a remote island where -- guess what? -- a murder spree begins all over again. In addition, as shown in the recently released trailer, the special will plant seeds (and some jawdropping mysteries) for Season 3.
