Season Two of Popular Murder Mystery Series Will Feature 10 Top YouTube Stars

Los Angeles, CA - October 17, 2016 - YouTube today announced that it has ordered a second season of Joey Graceffa's popular reality adventures series "Escape the Night." Since its debut this June, the first episode of "Escape the Night" has generated over 9.2 million views and 1.1 billion social impressions. Season two will again star Joey Graceffa, and will transport 10 YouTube creators into a new whodunit murder mystery. In the show, they'll form alliances, solve clues, and brace themselves for terrifying new surprises in every episode. The second season will once again be produced by Brian Graden Media and Graceffa and will debut on YouTube Red in 2017.

In Season One, Joey Graceffa brought together an ensemble of top YouTubers for a 1920's era-inspired murder-mystery dinner in a gothic mansion. The show featured GloZell, iJustine, Lele Pons, Shane Dawson, Eva Gutowski, Andrea Brooks, Timothy DeLaGhetto, Matt Haag, Oli White and Sierra Furtado. The all-star cast was recognized at this year's Streamy Awards with a Best Ensemble win.

"It was an incredible opportunity to work on the first season of 'Escape the Night' with other YouTube creators, and we are looking forward to recreating the magic for season two," said Joey Graceffa. He continued, "Being a part of the YouTube Community and getting to create something that really resonated with our fans was truly rewarding. Season two is going to just as much fun and I'm looking forward to hosting another killer dinner party."

"'Escape the Night' featured such a dynamic ensemble of YouTube stars that we believed it had the potential to be a big hit on our platform. It performed so well that we're bringing it back for a second season," said Susanne Daniels, Global Head of Original Content, YouTube. "We're excited about teaming up again with the creative minds behind this series. YouTube star Joey Graceffa and innovative producer Brian Graden will take the audience on another exciting and mysterious adventure they can't resist."
