Colbert's Opening Monologue To Be Streamed On Facebook Live

NEW YORK - November 8, 2016 - SHOWTIME has announced some of the special guests set to appear during Stephen Colbert's Live Election Night Democracy's Series Finale: Who's Going To Clean Up This Sh*t?, airing tonight at 11 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. PT. Featuring the Emmy(R) and Peabody(R) Award-winning late night host Stephen Colbert, the special will also feature appearances by Oscar(R) and Emmy nominee Jeff Goldblum, Grammy(R) nominee Katy Perry, Emmy nominee Larry Wilmore, Emmy winner Patton Oswalt, actor Nick Offerman, comedian Jena Friedman and radio personality Charlamagne Tha God. Grammy Award nominee Elle King will sit in with Late Show bandleader Jon Batiste and his band Stay Human. Tonight, Colbert will also be joined by esteemed political experts Mark Halperin and John Heilemann (managing editors of Bloomberg Politics and co-hosts of the nightly political show "With All Due Respect") and noted campaign strategist Mark McKinnon, from the SHOWTIME campaign documentary series THE CIRCUS.

Tonight, SHOWTIME will release a live stream of Colbert's uncensored monologue through Facebook Live on the SHOWTIME Facebook page. Colbert will be reacting in real-time to the election results as the state by state returns come in, making it the perfect election night destination for people who want to see all the latest news, without actually having to watch the news.

Stephen Colbert's Live Election Night Democracy's Series Finale: Who's Going To Clean Up This Sh*t? is a partnership between The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and SHOWTIME, airing live from The Ed Sullivan Theater in New York City with a studio audience. The election night special is produced by the same team behind The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht, Tom Purcell and Jon Stewart are the executive producers.
