AMERICAN CRIME (ABC) - French-American actress Mickaëlle X. Bizet is the latest to board the show's third installment. She'll play Gabrielle Durand, "a nanny to Clair Coates (Lili Taylor) and Nicholas Coates' (Timothy Hutton) child." (Deadline.com)
BEAST, THE (FOX, New!) - Neal Baer and Dawn DeNoon have sold a new drama to the network which "centers around three challenging medical cases each week. In the end, two will live, one will die. Their doctor - with a clinical fear of death - never stops fighting the odds." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the hour with Baer Bones Productions' Jessica Shulman executive producing alongside said duo. BILLIONS (Showtime) - Mary-Louise Parker ("Weeds") will drop by the new season as George Minchak, "a brilliant strategist, in one episode." (Deadline.com)
FLASH, THE (The CW) - Greg Grunberg has scored an arc on the current season as Detective Tom Patterson: "A gruff, stalwart figure at Central City Police Department, Det. Patterson is unwavering in his commitment to protecting Central City from the dangerous metas that threaten it." (Mashable.com)
GUEST BOOK, THE (TBS) - Maureen McCormick will guest on the upcoming anthology series, which centers on a small town vacation home and its visitors. While the house and cast of characters living in this small mountain town remain the same, each episode will feature a different set of guests renting the house. (Deadline.com)
HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) - Co-star Masi Oka, who plays Dr. Max Bergman, will exit the series after its 13th episode this season. Additionally, Lou Diamond Phillips will guest on an upcoming episode as Lincoln, "the officious and no-nonsense U.S. Deputy Marshal who heads a Special Operation Group's tactical team." INSECURE (HBO) - Natasha Rothwell's Kelli has been promoted to series regular for the show's recently ordered second season. Additionally, HBO has made a development deal with Rothwell - who also serves as a writer on the series - for a comedy project, which she would write and star in. (Deadline.com)
LIBBY & MALCOLM (ABC) - Emmy-winner Courtney B. Vance ("The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story") is set to star opposite Felicity Huffman in the proposed comedy, about "two polar opposite political pundits - Libby (Huffman) and Malcolm (Vance) - who fall in love despite all odds and form an insta-family as well as a work partnership." Kenya Barris and Vijal Patel are both behind the ABC Studios-based half-hour, which has a pilot production commitment. Huffman and Vance as well as E. Brian Dobbins will also receive executive producer credits. (Deadline.com)
MISSING AMERICAN WOMAN (FOX, New!) - Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson ("New Girl") have sold a new single-camera comedy to the network about "a sheltered girl who's never worked a day in her life. When she goes missing after a shipwreck, she embraces the opportunity to start her life over, working at a remote resort with a crew of slackers and weirdos." Jake Kasdan and Melvin Mar will also executive produce the project, which has a penalty attached, for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)
ORIGINALS, THE (The CW) - Matt Davis will reprise his "The Vampire Diaries" role of Alaric on the upcoming fourth season, which rolls out on March 17, one week after "Diaries" wraps its run. (TVLine.com)
SEVEN SECONDS (Netflix) - Russell Hornsby, Raul Castillo and Zackary Momoh have all been cast in the upcoming drama. Hornsby will play Isaiah Butler, "a devout man who is shaken to his core by the incident"; with Momoh as Seth Butler, "Isaiah's brother who comes home from a tour in Afghanistan just in time to support the family"; and Castillo as Felix Osorio, "a cop working on the Narcotics squad in Jersey City." TERROR, THE (AMC) - Edward Ashley, Liam Garrigan and Ronan Raftery have all scored roles on the anthology drama. Ashley and Garrigan will play "stewards aboard the HMS Terror and Raftery will play a Lieutenant on the HMS Terror." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED ALAN BALL PROJECT (HBO) - Holly Hunter ("Top of the Lake") has signed on to star in Alan Ball's new drama series for the pay channel. The project "focuses on a contemporary multi-racial family. Philosophy professor Greg Bishop and his lawyer wife Audrey Black (Hunter) are socially conscious idealists who decided to build a family by adopting children from Vietnam, Somali and Colombia before having their own child in their 40s. This seemingly perfect, progressive family is in actuality harboring deep rifts. Then, one of the children begins to see things others cannot. Is it mental illness? Or something else?" (Deadline.com)
