New Hour-Long Special, Based on Spike's Hit Series, to also Air on Spike Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT)

NEW YORK - Nov. 17, 2016 - Now it's the kids' turn, as Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland hosts the anticipated one hour-special, Lip Sync Battle Shorties, set to premiere Sunday, Dec. 11, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on Nickelodeon. Lip Sync Battle Shorties, a spinoff of Spike's Emmy-nominated global phenomenon, will feature everyday kids lip syncing their favorite songs and celebrating their favorite artists. The special will also air on Spike on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT).

"After having such an awesome experience competing on Lip Sync Battle, I jumped at the chance to host Shorties," said Hyland. "What could be more fun and exciting to see than the next generation of Lip Sync superstars showing off their sensational skills?"

In addition to Hyland as host, the special will feature four talented kid performers, the Lip Sync Battle Shorties Dance Crew and a supporting cast featuring a kid DJ, M.C. and backstage correspondent.

Hyland is no stranger to the Lip Sync Battle family. The multi-talented actress recently taped an episode of the show that will air as part of the upcoming new season on Spike.

Casey Patterson Entertainment and Matador are the creators of Lip Sync Battle Shorties.
