ARROW (The CW) - Co-star Stephen Amell took to Twitter with the news that alum Manu Bennett will return to the series in a yet-to-be-revealed capacity. (@StephenAmell)
BABIES (Netflix, New!) - Jane Root's Nutopia has landed a 12-part documentary series at the streaming service that's described as "an exploration of the science and experience of babies." No other specifics were given. (Deadline.com)
BILLIONS (Showtime) - Asia Kate Dillon's Taylor Mason has been promoted to series regular for the show's recently ordered third season. (Deadline.com)
DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (ABC) - Jeff Melvoin is stepping down as showrunner of the freshman drama. The search is underway for a replacement on the show's expected second season. Melvoin, who replaced Jon Harmon Feldman, will stay on as an executive producer. (THR.com)
HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE, THE (Netflix, New!) - Mike Flanagan (Ouija: Origin of Evil) is spearheading a modern re-imagining of Shirley Jackson's classic 1959 novel, about an investigator of the supernatural who invites those who have past experience with paranormal events to spend the summer in the titular mansion. Flanagan will write and direct the proposed 10-episode series, a co-production of Amblin Television and Paramount Television. The former's Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey as well as Trevor Macy will also executive produce. (Deadline.com)
