13 REASONS WHY (Netflix) - Executive producer Brian Yorkey has signed a two-year overall deal with Paramount Television, the studio behind the Netflix entry. The pact will cover his duties on the show's recently ordered sophomore run as well as any future development. (Deadline.com)
BLACK-ISH (Showtime) - Creator Kenya Barris has inked a hefty four-year extension to his overall deal with ABC Studios. Said pact keeps his Khalabo Ink Society banner at the studio, covering his duties on the veteran comedy as well as pilots "Liberal Arts," "Libby & Malcolm" and "Unit Zero." (Deadline.com)
DANGEROUS BOOK FOR BOYS, THE (Amazon) - The streaming service has ordered six episodes of the series, inspired by Conn Iggulden and Hal Iggulden's book, about an irreverent family comedy about three teenage boys who are given a dad's guide to living lives full of adventure after he passes away. Bryan Cranston and Greg Mottola are behind the project, which was originally set up at NBC in 2014. Mottola will also direct the series with Moonshot Entertainment's James Degus likewise executive producing for Sony Pictures Television. (Deadline.com)
ESCAPE AT CLINTON CORRECTIONAL (Showtime, New!) - Oscar winners Benicio del Toro (Traffic) and Patricia Arquette (Boyhood) are in talks to topline an eight-episode limited series "based on the prison break in upstate New York in the summer of 2015, which spawned a massive manhunt for convicted murderers Richard Matt (Del Toro) and David Sweat. The duo were aided in their escape by Joyce "Tillie" Mitchell (Arquette), a married female prison employee with whom they both became sexually entangled." Brett Johnson and Michael Tolkin penned the project with Ben Stiller attached to direct and executive produce alongside Bryan Zuriff, Michael De Luca Productions' Michael De Luca and Red Hour Productions' Nicky Weinstock. Last month, Lifetime aired its take on said event, "NY Prison Break: The Seduction of Joyce Mitchell," with Joe Anderson, Myk Watford and Penelope Ann Miller in the principal roles. (Deadline.com)
I LOVE DICK/TRANSPARENT (Amazon) - Jill Soloway has signed a three-year extension to her overall deal with Amazon Studios. The pact covers her Topple Productions' output at the studio through June 2021. (Deadline.com)
ONCE UPON A TIME (ABC) - Co-star Jennifer Morrison has opted not to return as a series regular for a potential seventh season of the series. (@jenmorrisonlive)
WESTWORLD (HBO) - Co-creator Lisa Joy has re-upped her overall deal with Warner. Bros Television, the home to her and husband Jonathan Nolan's HBO drama. Said duo works under the umbrella Kilter Films. (Deadline.com)
