CRASH & BURN (Hulu, New!) - Aaron Zelman has booked a drama pilot at the streaming service based on Michael Hassan's novel about "the lives of three troubled suburban boys through three different time periods starting in the '90s. The mystery of the first season is centered around an attempted school shooting, and the extent to which these boys may have played a part." Sony Pictures Television is behind the hour, which is being fast tracked for production this summer. Veritas Entertainment's Alan Gasmer and Peter Jaysen and Rooney McP Productions' Michael Dinner and Katie DiMento are also on board to executive produce. (Variety.com)
MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, THE (Amazon) - Kevin Pollak and Bailey De Young have both landed recurring roles on the upcoming drama as Morris "Moishe" Maisel, "Joel's (Michael Zegen) father, a tough, streetwise man who is not afraid of anything"; and Imogene, "Midge's friend and wife of Archie (Joel Johnstone)," respectively. MY DINNER WITH HERVÉ (HBO, New!) - Peter Dinklage and Jamie Dornan are set to star in a docudrama for the pay channel about the true story of "an unlikely friendship that evolves over one wild night in L.A. between a struggling journalist, Danny Tate (Dornan), and actor Hervé Villechaize (Dinkage), the world's most famous gun-toting dwarf, resulting in life-changing consequences for both." Sacha Gervasi is helming the project based on a story by him and Sean Macaulay. Gervasi, Dinklage, Steven Zaillian, Richard Middleton, Ross Katz and Jessica de Rothschild are the executive producers with Garrett Basch and David Ginsberg co-executive producing. (Deadline.com)
