AMERICAN HORROR STORY (FX) - Leslie Grossman has been tapped for a yet-to-be-revealed role in the upcoming seventh edition of the series. (Deadline.com)
ANA POLO RULES (Syndication, New!) - Ana Polo (Telemundo's "Caso Cerrado") will topline a potential half-hour court series in which she "will settle small claims cases and family disputes." Cinemat is behind the project, which is slated for a three-week test run beginning August 7 on the Fox Television Stations. (Deadline.com)
CHANCE (Hulu) - Paul Schneider is joining the cast of the show's second season as Ryan Winter, "a tech multimillionaire who Detective Hynes (Brian Goodman) believes to be a serial killer. Chance (Hugh Laurie) will lure Winter into his orbit, and in analyzing him, will begin to worry that they are not so different." (Deadline.com)
GAME OF THRONES (HBO) - Author George R.R. Martin posted to his Live Journal blog that a fifth project has been added to the list of potential small screen offshoots for the franchise. No auspice however was indicated and all specifics remain under wraps. Martin however did indicate that "Dunk and Egg" won't be among them. (Livejournal.com)
GHOST WARS (Syfy) - Kandyse McClure has signed onto the upcoming drama as Landis Barker, "a scientist who is works at a facility in the town where strange occurrences start happening." (Deadline.com)
JASON SHOW, THE (Syndication, New!) - Jason Matheson's KMSP FOX 9 series in Minneapolis is getting a national rollout as part of a four-week run beginning June 5. The project, which will air on the Fox Television Stations, is a "hourlong, live, daily entertainment talk show hosted by [the] Twin Cities media personality." (Deadline.com)
MAJOR CRIMES (TNT) - Jessica Meraz has joined the cast of the veteran drama as Det. Camila Paige, "who's still recovering financially from having to raise all five of her younger siblings after the death of her parents in a car accident almost fifteen years ago." Also on board in a recurring capacity is Lourdes Benedicto as Sara Garza, "the wife of a prominent surgeon, his office manager, and mother to their missing fifteen-year-old son who tries to maintain her sanity in the face of kidnapping, murder and her husband's health problems." NASHVILLE (CMT) - Cameron Scoggins's Zach Welles has been promoted to series regular for the back half of the show's fifth season. Additionally, Odessa Adlon will recur as Liv: "Tough, but vulnerable, Liv is a teen runaway who has ditched a bad situation to live on the streets among a loose collection of other runaway teens." PUNCHLINE (Syndication, New!) - Marc Istook is set to host a half-hour, daily, current events driven series in which "two teams of comedians who compete to come up with the best punchlines based on the days' headlines." Dave Noll and Cleve Keller are behind the project, which will receive a four-week test run on Fox Television Stations beginning July 10. (Deadline.com)
Q, THE (Syndication, New!) - Quincy Harris's WTXF FOX 29 series in Philadelphia is likewise being eyed for a national run with a four-week test run beginning June 5. The half-hour, daily, variety show "covers all topics from trending stories and viral videos, to comedy and interactive games and interviews, with high profile and local in-studio guests."
