BYE BYE BIRDIE LIVE! (NBC) - The Peacock has pushed the Jennifer Lopez-led live musical from December to 2018 due to Lopez's busy schedule. (Deadline.com)
CHANNEL ZERO (Syfy) - Brandon Scott, Holland Roden and Olivia Luccardi have all been cast in the franchise's third installment. Scott will play Officer Luke Vanczyk, "a young but already jaded cop, living in the shadow of his father, the Chief of Police"; with Roden as Zoe Woods, "Alice's (Luccardi) older sister, a sharp, tough young woman whose struggles with mental illness have worn her down over the years"; and Luccardi as Alice, "an idealistic, smart, strong-willed young woman who is eager to be liked and always tries to make a good impression, although she's always struggling financially." CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Sophia Bush is departing the series after four seasons. The season finale featured her character, Erin Lindsay, "on the verge of accepting a job with the FBI in New York." It's not clear if Bush will return in any capacity to close out her story. (Deadline.com)
GOLIATH (Amazon) - Diana Hopper's Denise McBride has been named a series regular for the upcoming second season while Dominic Fumusa will recur as Keith Roman, "a lead detective who clearly detests Billy. Roman bitterly blames Billy for getting off a killer who then went on to murder a family a few years ago." (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Michael S. Chernuchin, late of sibling series "Chicago Justice," has been tapped as the new showrunner of the veteran drama. He'll take over from the "Chicago PD"-bound Rick Eid. (Deadline.com)
SILICON VALLEY (HBO) - T.J. Miller has opted not to return for the show's just-announced fifth season. It's not clear how his character, Erlich Bachman, will be written out of the series. (Deadline.com)
SUITS (USA) - Creator Aaron Korsh has closed a new two-year overall deal with Universal Cable Productions where he'll continue as showrunner for the foreseeable future as well as shepherd its potential Gina Torres-led spin-off. (Deadline.com)
VEEP (HBO) - Co-stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Anna Chlumsky, Tony Hale, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons and Matt Walsh have all closed one-year deals to return for the just-ordered seventh season of the comedy. Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole and Sam Richardson are already under contract for the upcoming season. (Deadline.com)
