CARMICHAEL SHOW, THE (NBC) - The Peacock has canceled the Jerrod Carmichael-led comedy after three seasons as options on the show's cast were set to expire today. Carmichael, 20th Century Fox Television presidents Jonnie Davis and Howard Kurtzman as well as NBC's Bob Greenblatt and Jennifer Salke released statements confirming the news. "For three seasons (okay 2.5), I got to make a show that I love with my friends. It's something I've wanted to do since I was 13. Now, I'm excited to go make other things that I love. Thank you to every person who worked on or watched the Carmichael show," Carmichael said. Episodes will continue to run on Wednesday nights through August 9. (Deadline.com)
FRESH OFF THE BOAT (ABC) - Rachna Fruchbom has signed a new two-year overall deal at 20th Century Fox Television, covering her duties on the show's fourth season. (Deadline.com)
HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) - Co-stars Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park have opted not to return for the show's eighth season. "We are so appreciative of Daniel and Grace's enormous talents, professional excellence and the aloha spirit they brought to each and every one of our 168 episodes," CBS said in a statement. MAN IN THE HIGH CASTLE, THE (Amazon) - Laura Mennell and Eijiro Ozaki are set to recur on the upcoming third season as Hedda Parsons, "a New York gossip columnist type who is queen of the NY Nazi Reich social scene"; and Admiral Inokuchi, "a Japanese admiral who is a cool, calm, rational pragmatist." MIDSUMMER'S NIGHTMARE, A (Lifetime) - The cable channel has quietly pulled its planned July 14 telecast of the drama pilot.
SNEAKY PETE (Amazon) - Jennifer Ferrin and Miriam Morales are both bound for the show's second season as "an NYPD Detective who is investigating Det. Winslow's death"; and "Ellen's (Jeté Laurence) teacher at a Bridgeport elementary school," respectively. (Deadline.com)
THIS IS US (NBC) - The series has given series regular status to its younger principals Hannah Zeile (teenage Kate), Niles Fitch (teenage Randall), Logan Shroyer (teenage Kevin), Mackenzie Hancsicsak (young Kate), Parker Bates (young Kevin), Faithe Herman (Annie Pearson) and Eris Baker (Tess Pearson). Lonnie Chavis, who plays young Randall, will continue to recur but is a series regular on Showtime's "White Famous." Earlier this week, Alexandra Breckinridge (Sophie) and Jon Huertas (Miguel) were likewise named regulars. (Deadline.com)
