12 MONKEYS (Syfy) - Conleth Hill has been tapped for a two-episode arc as Bonham, "a world weary international law enforcement agent facing the last days of mankind." (EW.com)
DANGEROUS BOOK FOR BOYS, THE (Amazon) - Kyan Zielinski has scored a lead role on the upcoming series as Liam, "the oldest of the three brothers, who's book smart and spends way too much time on his computer." (Deadline.com)
DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (ABC) - Ben Lawson is set to join the cast of the series as Damian Rennett, "an MI-6 operative who meets Hannah (Maggie Q) while posing as a Dutchman in Amsterdam. Their relationship begins with mutual wariness, morphs into competitiveness, and is complicated by an irresistible mutual attraction." (Deadline.com)
EXPANSE, THE (Syfy) - David Strathairn has booked a top-secret role - "a substantial character with a significant arc" - on the show's upcoming third season. (Deadline.com)
GHOSTED (FOX) - Blake McCormick has closed a two-year overall deal with 20th Century Fox Television where he'll serve as a co-executive producer on the studio's new comedy as well as develop new series projects. (Deadline.com)
GODS AND SECRETS (TBD) - Brigitte Nielsen has joined the cast of Adi Shankar's half-hour pilot, which was previously reported as in development at HBO but is now being independently produced. She'll take over "the villain role vacated by Mark Salling, who was indicted last year for receiving and possessing child pornography." Will Yun Lee, Kellan Lutz, Denise Richards, Jane Seymour, Jackson Rathbone, Edi Gathegi, Sharni Vinson, Derek Mears and Chaz Bono also star in the "super-secret passion project." Shankar and Stewart Yost are co-directing from a script by Shawn DeLoache from a story by Shankar. (Variety.com)
HIGHLAND (TNT) - Nisha Ganatra has been tapped to direct the Margaret Cho-penned drama pilot, which will chronicle what happens when two extended, dysfunctional Korean-American families who share the same patriarch must come together after tragedy strikes. As it turns out, the most reliable person in both families is the one who just got out of rehab. (Deadline.com)
LOCKE & KEY (Hulu) - Andy Muschietti (It) has signed on to helm the pilot for the comic book-turned-TV series. Mark Romanek helmed the previous effort for FOX in 2011. (Deadline.com)
MASTERMIND, THE (FX, New!) - The cable channel is developing a crime drama based on Atavist Magazine's Evan Ratliff's investigative series which follows "the illicit exploits of Paul Le Roux, a brilliant programmer and criminal cartel boss who becomes a Drug Enforcement Administration informant." 26 Keys Productions' Noah Hawley and Getaway Productions' Joe and Anthony Russo are set to executive produce the FX Productions-based hour with the latter duo attached to direct. RAGE IS BACK (Syfy, New!) - Adam Mansbach's supernatural novel - set in 1987, as "a young graffiti crew copes with the murder of one of their members, investigating a connection to shamans of the past and making them masters of the urban underground who use coded language and symbols in spiritual warfare" - is being developed for television by the cable channel. Mansbach will co-executive produce the project with Danny Hoch for Universal Cable Productions and 3 Arts Entertainment. (Variety.com)
REUNION ROAD TRIP (E!, New!) - The cable channel is reportedly developing a new docuseries which "will capture an epic show reunion as the cast drives down memory lane, making familiar stops along the way - sharing stories, revisiting hot spots and catching up on each other's current lives." "Jersey Shore" will serve as the pilot for the series with Greg Lipstone, Simon Knight, Adam Greener, Emily Mayer and Lauren Stevens executive producing for All3Media's Maverick Television. (THR.com)
RIVERDALE (The CW) - Brit Morgan has scored a recurring role on the show's sophomore run as Penny Peabody, "a wily backroom attorney that the Southside Serpents keep on retainer in case of run-ins with the law. She prefers that her clients pay her with favors, not cash, as Jughead (Cole Sprouse) finds out when he seeks her out to help with his father." (Deadline.com)
RUSSELL SIMMONS PRESENTS: DEF POETRY (HBO) - Chance the Rapper is reportedly eyed to host a planned revival of the former HBO staple. The show last aired in 2007. (Deadline.com)
