MTV ANNOUNCES NEW HOST TERRENCE J. AND CAST FOR ITS HIT MATCHMAKING SERIES "ARE YOU THE ONE?" PREMIERING WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH AT 10:00 P.M. ET/PT

TELL-ALL CASTING SPECIAL TO AIR WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 13th AT 10:00 P.M. ET/PT

NEW YORK, NY - August 18, 2017 - MTV today announced actor Terrence J. will host the new season of the popular matchmaking series, "Are You The One?" premiering Wednesday, September 20th at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. This season will take the contestants to New Orleans, LA, where they will strive to find their "perfect match" for a share in a million dollar prize. Before the premiere, audiences can get a sneak peek at the new cast in an audition tape casting special, airing Wednesday, September 13th at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT, where each one will reveal his or her personal struggle to find true love.

New host Terrence J., a well-established actor, host, producer, author, philanthropist and mega-fan of "Are You The One?," is widely recognized as one of Hollywood's most skilled multi-hyphenates. The three-time Emmy(R) nominee and seven year host on BET's "106 & Park," Terrence J. has now added executive producer and host of MTV's "SafeWord" and host of MTV's "Are You The One?" to his purview. Bringing a new twist to this popular dating competition, Terrence J. tests couples to follow their hearts if they want to walk away with love and their share of one million dollars. The rules may be simple, but the game of love is never easy, and this season of "Are You The One?" is sure to have audiences love shook.
