CBS ANNOUNCES "ELTON JOHN: I'M STILL STANDING - A GRAMMY(R) SALUTE" CONCERT

MILEY CYRUS, KESHA, MIRANDA LAMBERT, JOHN LEGEND, LITTLE BIG TOWN, CHRIS MARTIN, MAREN MORRIS, SAM SMITH AND KEITH URBAN WILL PAY TRIBUTE TO THE FIVE-TIME GRAMMY(R) WINNER IN A LIVE CONCERT ON JAN. 30

The Special Will Be Broadcast Later in 2018 on the CBS Television Network

Just two days after the 60TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS(R), CBS, the Recording Academy(TM) and AEG Ehrlich Ventures will celebrate the legendary career of five-time GRAMMY(R) winner and 2000 MusiCares(R)' Person of the Year honoree Elton John, by presenting "Elton John: I'm Still Standing - A GRAMMY Salute." The live concert will be held Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 8:00 PM, ET at The Theater at Madison Square Garden. The special will be broadcast later in 2018 on the CBS Television Network.

GRAMMY nominee Miley Cyrus, current GRAMMY nominee Kesha, two-time GRAMMY winner and current nominee Miranda Lambert, 10-time GRAMMY winner John Legend, two-time GRAMMY winners and current nominees Little Big Town, seven-time GRAMMY winner Chris Martin, GRAMMY winner and current nominee Maren Morris, four-time GRAMMY winner Sam Smith and four-time GRAMMY winner Keith Urban will pay tribute to Elton, who will also take the stage to perform a selection of hits from his highly acclaimed discography. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

"Elton John: I'm Still Standing - A GRAMMY Salute" continues the tradition of previous Emmy(R)-winning TV specials presented by CBS, the Recording Academy and AEG Ehrlich Ventures: "Sinatra 100 - An All-Star GRAMMY Concert," "Stevie Wonder: Songs In The Key Of Life - An All-Star GRAMMY Salute" and "The Beatles: The Night That Changed America - A GRAMMY Salute."

"Elton John: I'm Still Standing - A GRAMMY Salute" is produced by AEG Ehrlich Ventures, LLC. Ehrlich and Rac Clark are the executive producers, Ron Basile is the producer and David Wild is the writer.

Tickets will go on sale Dec. 18, at 12:00 PM, ET and are available for purchase at www.ticketmaster.com.

The monumental career of international singer, songwriter and performer Elton John has spanned more than three decades. Since launching his first tour in 1970, Elton has had over 4,000 performances in more than 80 countries. He is one of the top-selling solo artists of all time, with 35 gold and 25 platinum albums and more than 300 million records sold worldwide. The Recording Academy has bestowed Elton multiple GRAMMY Awards, as well as the GRAMMY Legend Award and MusiCares Person of the Year honor in 2000. Three of his recordings have also been inducted into the GRAMMY Hall Of Fame(R). In the early 1990s, Elton collaborated with lyricist Tim Rice on the soundtrack for "The Lion King," earning him an Academy Award. The album produced two top-selling, award-winning singles: "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "Circle of Life." The Tony Award(R)-winning Broadway production of "Aida" earned Elton a GRAMMY Award for Best Musical Show Album. "Billy Elliot" was nominated for a record-tying 15 Tony Awards and won 10, including Best Musical. In 1992 Elton established the Elton John AIDS Foundation, which today is one of the leading nonprofit HIV/AIDS organizations. In 1998 the Queen of England knighted him Sir Elton John, CBE. In 2004 Elton received the Kennedy Center Honor for his lifetime contributions to American culture and excellence through the performing arts. In 2013 Elton was honored as the first recipient of the prestigious BRITs Icon Award.

THE 60TH ANNUAL GRAMMY AWARDS will be broadcast live from Madison Square Garden in New York Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018 (7:30-11:00 PM, live ET/4:30-8:00 PM, live PT) on the CBS Television Network. Award-winning host and performer James Corden will host the awards show for the second year.
