AMAZING ON THE INSIDE (Netflix, New!) - The streaming service has reportedly ordered 12 half-hour episodes for its first home makeover series, which will "uncover homes that hide an incredible secret and will look behind the ordinary, conventional or unassuming exteriors that are passion projects for their owners, who have transformed their living space to reflect their passions, dreams and identity." Sam Barcroft, Peter Wyles and Jude Parker are the executive producers for Barcroft Productions. (Deadline.com)
CHARMED (The CW) - Sarah Jeffery ("Shades of Blue") has been cast as one of the central trio in the drama pilot reboot: "the youngest sister, Madison, a bubbly college freshman who finds witchcraft at odds with her goal of getting in to a super fun sorority." Jeffery has been released from the NBC drama to join the project but will have the option to return for four episodes should the series return for a fourth season. (Deadline.com)
GRAND HOTEL (ABC) - Roselyn Sanchez is set to star while Ken Olin has signed on to direct the drama pilot, which is set against the backdrop of a Miami Beach hotel, centering around the family who owns the business, the staff who run it, and the explosive secrets they hide under the perfect exterior. She'll play Gigi Cardenas, "the embodiment of "Miami glamour," she is impossibly stylish with a flare for excess. Unapologetically fabulous but never frivolous, she's smart, cunning, and fiercely loyal to her twin daughters. She's the hotel owner's second wife but never considers herself "second" at anything." (Deadline.com)
GREATEST AMERICAN HERO, THE (ABC) - Humphrey Ker and Ellie Reed will round out the cast of the Hannah Simone-led reboot of the 1980s series. Ker will play Max Smith, Meera's (Simone) new co-worker who seems to know about the aliens and the suit; with Reed as Sarah Green, Meera's best friend and fellow employee.
I'M DYING UP HERE (Showtime) - Xosha Roquemore has scored a season-long arc on the show's sophomore run as Dawn Lima, "an in-your-face, sexy and fearless comedian who will talk about anything except who she really is. Dawn recently arrived in Los Angeles to try stand-up at Goldie's after performing in Detroit and Chicago. Daughter of a preacher, she feels judged not only by her father but by the world at large. A "friend with benefits" of Nick (Jake Lacy), she is struggling with her sexual identity, not just professionally but also personally." (Deadline.com)
ROOKIE, THE (ABC) - Alyssa Diaz is the latest bound for the Nathan Fillion-led drama pilot as Angela Song, "an LAPD Training Officer on the cusp of making detective-trainee. That all gets threatened when she gets assigned to Jackson West. Not only does she have to play the usual politics within her own station house, she now has her hands full with an entitled rookie whose father has a say in her career at the LAPD." (Deadline.com)
THREE RIVERS (ABC) - John Larroquette is set to star opposite Annaleigh Ashford in the single-camera comedy pilot as Beau: "unkempt, charismatic, with a real twinkle in his eye. A scoundrel for sure, but so engaging he can charm the pants off anybody. He is the founder and owner of the hotel and the catalyst for the competitive spirit of the Watts siblings." (Deadline.com)
