ARROW (The CW) - Original cast member Willa Holland has confirmed her departure from the series after six seasons. Additionally, former mainstay Caity Lotz and current "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" regular will return to the parent series for its season finale. (TVLine.com)
BEYOND (Freeform) - The cable channel has canceled the series after two seasons. The show's March 15 episode delivered a modest 382,000 viewers (188,000 adults 18-49) in the most recent Live+3 data. The season finale aired last week. (Deadline.com)
BRIGHT FUTURES (NBC) - Emily Ratajkowski, Shameik Moore, Calum Worthy, Jimmy Tatro and Lilly Singh have booked the principal roles on the single-camera comedy pilot, about a group of friends who are stumbling through the transition from the clueless, immature 20-somethings they are now, to the successful professionals they have the potential to be. Ratajkowski will play Sarah, "a girl-next-door type but also with a behind-the-ear tattoo"; with Moore as Aaron, who "works as a lowly personal injury attorney [after] a drinking blowout on the night he passed the bar put a halt to any grandiose ideas"; Worthy as Danny, "a gung-ho yet ultra-neurotic USC film school grad and a wannabe screenwriter who's just landed his first job working for Hollywood's hottest up-and-coming writer"; Singh as Sid, "a recent med school graduate and who became a doctor mostly so people would call her a doctor"; and Tatro as Berger, who's "on the surface he's the hater of the crew, but deep down he's incredibly loyal and would be the first one to take a bat to someone for any one of his friends." Additionally, Lisa Kudrow will serve as narrator on the project. (Deadline.com)
DIETLAND (AMC) - Campbell Scott, Alanna Ubach, Kelly Hu, Marc Blucas, Ami Sheth and Jen Ponton are all set to recur on the Julianna Margulies/Joy Nash-led drama, about Plum Kettle (Nash), ghost-writer for the editor of one of New York's hottest fashion magazines, as she struggles with self-image and sets out on a wildly complicated road to self-acceptance. Scott is on board as Stanley Austen, "a one-time industry titan whose influence and clout as the head of the Austen Media empire is threatened by a group of anonymous female terrorists." Ubach then is Marlowe Buchanan, "a fierce feminist activist and earth mother, she is one of Verena Baptist's acolytes, and the author of Bangability Theory, a book about the sexualization of women." Hu is Abra Austen, Stanley's wife; with Blucas as Bobby, "a New York City cop who is also Dominic's ex-partner and friend"; Sheth as Sana, "an artist and acolyte of Verena Baptist (Robin Weigert)"; and Ponton as Rubi, "a resident at Calliope House." HISTORY OF THEM (CBS) - Miranda Cosgrove will lend her voice to the pilot, a multi-cultural romantic comedy about how two friends - Luna (Ana Villafañe) and Adam (Brett Dier) - fell in love, narrated by their future daughter, using the couple's social media from present-day as a guide. She'll play said daughter, serving as the project's narrator. (Deadline.com)
HOMECOMING (Amazon) - Sissy Spacek is slated to recur in the upcoming Julia Roberts-led series, a psychological thriller that centers on a caseworker at a secret government facility (Roberts) and a soldier (Stephan James) eager to rejoin civilian life. She'll play Ellen Bergman, the mother of Roberts's character. (Deadline.com)
PURGE, THE (USA/Syfy) - Amanda Warren and Colin Woodell have both been cast in the small screen take on the film franchise. She'll play Jane: "A dedicated and hardworking finance professional who is convinced that she's hit an insurmountable glass ceiling at her firm, so she hires a Purge-assassin." Woodell then will portray Rick: "After a lifetime of bootstrapping, he finally is climbing the social ladder. But currying favor with the pro-Purge elite presents unexpected challenges to his marriage, as he and his wife must agree on what moral price they'll pay to achieve the American dream." SHOOTER (USA) - Raymond J. Barry will recur on the show's third season as August Russo: "Formerly a member of Earl Swagger's unit in Vietnam, August now uses the skills he developed in wartime to train operatives at a secret facility." (Deadline.com)
