MESSIAH (Netflix) - Michelle Monaghan is set to star opposite Mehdi Dehbi in the upcoming drama as Eva Geller, "a highly specialized US intelligence officer who pits her wits and years of experience against Al-Masih (Dehbi) - an incendiary religious-political figure emerging out of Syria whose influence is growing. Whip smart, tenacious and determined to prove she is right, Eva literally goes to the ends of the earth to prosecute this allusive figure while running headlong into the truth about her own moral convictions." NCIS (CBS) - Co-star David McCallum has closed a deal to return for the show's recently ordered 16th season. (Deadline.com)
SHOOK UP (Epix, New!) - Jennifer Schuur is developing a new drama at the pay channel which "explores a rough circle of girls in 1950's New York City, who take to the streets of mob-ruled Hell's Kitchen and find power in their own right." CBS Television Studios-based Timberman-Beverly Productions is behind the hour with the company's Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
