PARAMOUNT NETWORK ANNOUNCES SECOND SEASON OF "YELLOWSTONE" STARRING KEVIN COSTNER AND FROM WRITER/PRODUCER/DIRECTOR TAYLOR SHERIDAN

New Network's First Scripted Original is Attracting 5 Million Viewers an Episode and Ranks as Second Most-Watched Series in All Cable

New Episodes Premiere Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT

Los Angeles, CA, July 24, 2018 - The Dutton family saga rages onward. Following record-setting viewership, the new Paramount Network today announced a second season of its hit series "Yellowstone." Production will begin shortly on the 10-episode season which will be shot entirely on location in Utah and Montana. The season one finale bows Wednesday, August 22 at 10 PM, ET/PT, with season two premiering next year.

The critically acclaimed drama stars world-renowned Oscar(R) and Emmy(R) Award-winning actor Kevin Costner along with Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Danny Huston and Gil Birmingham.

"Yellowstone" chronicles the Dutton family, led by John Dutton (Costner), who controls the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the United States. Amid shifting alliances, unsolved murders, open wounds, and hard-earned respect - the ranch is in constant conflict with those it borders - an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America's first national park.

Oscar(R) nominated screenwriter Taylor Sheridan ("Wind River," "Hell or High Water" and "Sicario") returns as the showrunner and a writer for the series.

Executive producers for "Yellowstone" are John Linson, Art Linson, Taylor Sheridan, Kevin Costner and David C. Glasser. Ted Gold and Lauren Ruggiero are the executives in charge of production for Paramount Network.

Following a record-setting debut that attracted 5.3 million viewers, the series now ranks as cable's most-watched series behind "The Walking Dead." Season to date, the series is averaging 5 million viewers and registering a 1.4 rating with P 18-49, 2.0 P 25-54 and 1.9 W 24-54. New episodes premiere Wednesdays at 10pm ET/PT only on Paramount Network. Full look at the season here

The success of "Yellowstone" marks the six-month-old network's third successful scripted launch in a row. Back in January, the limited-series "Waco," which scored three Emmy(R) nominations, premiered to the best ratings for an ad-supported cable drama debut in nearly six months. In June, the network's first scripted-comedy "American Woman," bowed to the highest P/W18-49 and W25-54 ratings for an ad-supported cable scripted half-hour series premiere since early January.
