VICELAND RENEWS THREE SERIES

NETWORK ORDERS MORE "MOST EXPENSIVEST" A SECOND SEASON OF "SLUTEVER" AND A REBOOT OF "BONG APPÉTIT"

(August 20, 2018 -- Brooklyn, NY) -- VICELAND, the Emmy-winning youth lifestyle and entertainment network from VICE Media and A+E Networks, is renewing two series as well as rebooting another popular show for premieres in early 2019.

The network announced today the Season 3 pickup and 20-episode order for Grammy winning hip-hop superstar 2 Chainz's "Most Expensivest" as well as a second season of "Slutever" featuring author, screenwriter, and Vogue.com columnist Karley Sciortino. In addition, the network is re-imagining its James Beard Award-nominated cannabis culinary show "Bong Appétit" with a new competitive format and a few new hosts who will be joining returning expert Vanessa Lavorato in the kitchen -- including Cypress Hill rapper B Real.

Currently airing its second season, 2 Chainz's continuing hilarious exploration into the culture of excess "Most Expensivest" is one of the network's most popular shows. It follows Chainz as he crisscrosses the country from New York to LA, Miami to Vegas to delve into the highest end versions of everything from the obvious indulgences to the extraordinary and ridiculous including funeral arrangements and the afterlife, the opulent side of doomsday prepping (with Vegas legend Wayne Newton), as well as bringing the plushest puppy life to his ever-present canine sidekick, Trappy. In addition, Chainz brings bringing fellow lush-life loving luminaries including Rick Ross, Jesse Williams, Wale, Hannibal Burress and T.I. along for the ride.

"Slutever," with its female-driven, sex-positive perspective returns with writer and actress Karley Sciortino continuing her funny and fearless exploration into sex, relationships, and intimacy in the modern world. Sciortino finds the humor and humanity in people and sex practices that are all-too-often stigmatized by outdated ideas. Her first season gained notices from The New York Times, New Yorker, Vogue, W Magazine, and Paper Magazine with The Guardian hailing Sciortino as "a real-life Carrie Bradshaw...redefining sexuality" and The New York Post's Decider.com praising the show as "an equally insightful, frustrated, and entertaining look into how society unequally values male and female sexuality."

Another returning favorite, "Bong Appétit," takes its edibles to the next level with a new strain of cooking competition featuring new host B Real, the Cypress Hill frontman/marijuana entrepreneur who's just opened his first Dr. Greenthumb dispensary and returning expert-turned-judge, cannabis confectioner/founder of Marigold Sweets Vanessa Lavorato alongside celebrated chef/restaurateur Miguel Trinidad (New York's Maharlika & Jeepney and his high-end cannabis catering company 99th Floor). Each episode follows three contestants as they face off in a series of cannabis cooking challenges; with one will be crowned winner.

Not only is "Bong Appétit" a popular series for the network, elevating cannabis past the outdated barely edible "pot brownie" to a gourmet ingredient, the show earned a James Beard Award nomination and has spawned a forthcoming high-end cookbook "Bong Appétit: Mastering the Art of Cooking with Weed." The book features 65 recipes as well as advice, specialized tools and techniques for introducing the ingredient from the editors of VICE's award-winning culinary digital video channel MUNCHIES (as well as its network of notable chefs and experts). The book, currently available for pre-order, will be on shelves October 2 from Ten Speed Press.

"Most Expensivest" is a co-production of Condé Nast Entertainment (CNE), Mustache and VICELAND. Executive producers are Joe LaBracio of CNE, John Limotte of Mustache, 2 Chainz and Coach Tek, and Nomi Ernst Leidner for VICELAND.

"Slutever" is produced by VICELAND with executive producers Karley Sciortino, Danielle Franco, Gena Konstantinakos, and Adri Murguia.

"Bong Appétit" is produced by VICELAND with executive producers Lauren Cynamon and Chris Grosso. Michael Rucker and Ari Fishman are co-executive producers.
