SUNDANCE NOW'S GROUNDBREAKING ORIGINAL RELATIONSHIP DRAMEDY "THIS CLOSE" UNVEILS STAR-STUDDED SEASON TWO GUEST STAR LINE-UP

Including Marcia Cross, Camryn Manheim, Austin Nichols, Lisa Rinna, Margaret Cho and Millicent Simmonds

Zach Gilford, Colt Prattes, Marlee Matlin, Cheryl Hines, Nyle DiMarco and Moshe Kasher Return as Recurring Guest Stars

Season 2 Is Currently in Production in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA - OCTOBER 15, 2018 - Sundance Now, AMC Networks' premium video streaming service, today announced actors Marcia Cross ("Desperate Housewives"), Camryn Manheim ("Waco"), Austin Nichols ("The Walking Dead"), Lisa Rinna ("Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"), Margaret Cho ("Bright") and Millicent Simmonds (A Quiet Place) will guest star in the second season of "This Close." They will join guest stars Zach Gilford, Colt Prattes, Marlee Matlin, Cheryl Hines, Nyle DiMarco, and Moshe Kasher who will reprise their roles from season one. The expanded second season features eight, 30-minute episodes, and is currently filming in Los Angeles. New episodes will be available on Sundance Now in 2019.

"This Close," an official selection of the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, is a groundbreaking original relationship dramedy created, written, and starring Shoshannah Stern and Josh Feldman, both of whom are deaf. The series holds the distinction of being Sundance Now's first ever straight-to-series order. Based on a series of digital shorts, this honest, funny and endearing show explores universal and relatable themes of love and friendship - in its many permutations.

In season two, Kate (Stern) and Michael (Feldman) learn you can't always get what you want, and sometimes you don't even understand what you need. Kate's past collides with her present, while her ambition continues to be her best teacher and worst enemy at work. Michael tries to course-correct after a messy few months, post break up, and seems to have everyone fooled. Or does he? With the return of old flames, distant parents, and new career obstacles, Kate and Michael are going to have to lean on each other more than ever.

Marcia Cross plays "Blythe" - Kate's mother and a former Miss Georgia. The steely, tough-as-nails southern lady rarely shows her vulnerable side and used this tough exterior to raise Kate after her husband's sudden death.

Camryn Manheim plays "Dr. Wurtzel" - A spiritual, smart and fun psychiatrist who helps Michael and Ryan tackle their relationship hurdles.

Austin Nichols plays "Shep" - Kate's ex-fiancé and childhood love. He owns a florist in Savannah and has always hoped this success would make Kate rethink, or regret, leaving him.

Lisa Rinna plays "Priscilla" - Ryan's mother. A former soap-opera-actress-turned-trophy-wife, she's great to have at parties, and she's never met anyone whom she couldn't have a conversation with.

Margaret Cho plays "Zagat" - An eccentric rich lady who always has something wrong with her. Hypochondriac to the max, addicted to pills and obsessed with her dog, she meets Michael during her third major life breakdown.

Millicent Simmonds plays "Emmaline" - A young, deaf girl who Kate befriends during her trip home to Savannah. She appears nave, meek, and very obedient to her mother, but there's a lot happening beneath the surface.

"This Close" is executive produced by Christine Vachon and David Hinojosa for Killer Films, Mary Pat Bentel, and Paul Young, along with Stern and Feldman. Super Deluxe serves as the studio for the Sundance Now Original production. Amy Rene serves as the casting director.

AMC Studios Content Distribution is managing worldwide sales of "This Close."
