ONE-HOUR SELF-TITLED SPECIAL FROM COMEDY QUARTET GOATFACE STARRING HASAN MINHAJ, ASIF ALI, ARISTOTLE ATHIRAS, AND FAHIM ANWAR PREMIERES TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27 AT 10:00 P.M. ET/PT ON COMEDY CENTRAL

Available in the Comedy Central App, on CC.com, and On Demand on Wednesday, November 28

NEW YORK, October 23, 2018 - This fall, for the first time ever on television, comedy fans can witness Hasan Minhaj, Asif Ali, Aristotle Athiras and Fahim Anwar form like Voltron to become the incomparable comedy quartet Goatface, in the premiere of the group's first one-hour special! Goatface premieres Tuesday, November 27 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central.

The one-hour hybrid special weaves together ensemble sketches, an ensemble stand-up set, and individual stand-up performances from each member of the group. Goatface's wide-ranging comedic style encompasses pop-culture touchstones from sneaker hype to over-the-top '90s R&B lyricism; the unique trials and tribulations of being brown in America from "Starbucks names" to Islamophobia; and personal experiences with overbearing parents, witnessing the miracle of childbirth, and much more.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, cc.com and the CC App will feature preview clips from the special. On Wednesday, November 28, the full special will be available to stream in the CC App and on CC.com, and the uncensored version will be available for digital download on iTunes, Prime Video, Microsoft Movies & TV, Google Play, Vudu and Verizon Fios on Demand. Fans on Twitter can follow Minhaj at @hasanminhaj, Ali at @alicomedy, Athiras at @athiras, Anwar at @fahimanwar and Comedy Central Stand-Up at @standup to join the social conversation around #Goatface.

Ali, Anwar, Athiras and Minhaj are Writers and Executive Producers. Athiras is Director. Anwar is Head Writer. Ted Tremper and Steven Ast are Executive Producers. Sarah Babineau, Christian McLaughlin, and Jose Acevedo are the Executives in Charge of Production for Comedy Central.

Ali, Anwar, Athiras and Minhaj formed Goatface in 2011 when the four friends and budding comedians decided to make viral sketches about pop culture, sports, family, politics and more, from the perspective of being a brown person in America. Since then, the four have gone on to advance their careers both separately and as a group, leading to the first Goatface one-hour special this November on Comedy Central.

Hasan Minhaj is the host and creator of the weekly comedy show Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj that will premiere on Netflix on October 28th. The series will explore the modern cultural and political landscape with depth and sincerity through his unique comedic voice. Last year, Minhaj earned rave reviews for his one-hour Netflix comedy special Hasan Minhaj: Homecoming King that earned him a 2018 Peabody Award, and for his performance hosting the 2017 White House Correspondents' Dinner. A first generation American, Minhaj joined The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, where he was Jon's last hire, in November 2014 as a correspondent and continued on in that role after Trevor Noah took over as host the following year. He remained on the show through August 2018.

Asif Ali is a comedian, writer, actor, & producer. He has been on popular tv shows such as Modern Family, New Girl, Silicon Valley, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Arrested Development, and many others. Currently, Asif plays Pack on the hit TBS action-comedy show Wrecked now in its third season. He is also the executive producer and host of the live comedy and interview series Inside Joke with Asif Ali on Amazon as well as co-creator of Netflix's The Fix with Jimmy Carr.

Fahim Anwar is a Los Angeles-based standup comedian, actor and writer. Formerly an aerospace engineer at Boeing, Fahim traded the cubicle for the stage and has never looked back. His parents however plead with him to look back nearly every day. Off the momentum of his one-hour special There's No Business Like Show Business, The New York Times listed Fahim as a "Most Promising Future Star." He's appeared on CONAN, Late Night with Seth Meyers and performed at the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. His recent film and TV credits include Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Neighbors, Drunk History, Carmichael Show, Superior Donuts and more.

Aristotle Athiras is a comedian, actor, writer, and director based in Los Angeles. You can see him do all four this November in Goatface on Comedy Central. Using his unique perspective, being Persian, Greek and Asian, he performs stand up all over LA in venues like The Improv, The Comedy Store and The Laugh Factory. When he's is not performing, he finds himself behind the camera directing comedy specials for Tom Arnold and Erik Griffin (Showtime) or sketches for Gad Elmaleh and Ron Livingston - the latter being nominated for a Webby in 2018 for the sketch "Welcome to America" produced by Funny Or Die. His work has been featured in Rolling Stone, The Huffington Post, LA Times, Gawker, Best Week Ever, Perez Hilton, US Weekly, and The NBC Short Cuts Film Festival, among others.
