ELVIS MITCHELL TO TAKE AN EPIX(R) JOURNEY WITH DOCUSERIES "ELVIS GOES THERE"

Four-Part Series From Zero Point Zero To Debut February 4, 2019

New York, NY - November 28, 2018 - Premium network EPIX(R) continues to amplify its original slate, adding to its scripted greenlights with the docuseries Elvis Goes There. Premiering Monday, February 4, 2019 at 10pm, the four-episode, one-hour series follows renowned journalist Elvis Mitchell as he travels with A-list filmmakers and actors to places of inspiration around the world with unprecedented access, exploring how each location shaped their work and identity.

Filmmakers slated to appear are Paul Feig, Sofia Coppola, Ryan Coogler and Guillermo del Toro. Mitchell, who created the project, will executive produce with Cheri Barner and Wildline's Simon Helberg, Jocelyn Towne and Cora Olson. Zero Point Zero Productions' (Anthony Bourdain's Parts Unknown) Lydia Tenaglia, Craig H. Shepherd and Toby Oppenheimer also executive produce.

Said Mitchell, "This is my dream of a show. It's an origin story -- how these artists got to be -- set in the places that formed them. And it's a show where people get to explain themselves, rather than hustle a new project. I'm thrilled these artists gave me the gift of their time, and thankful to Michael Wright and Rachel Brill at EPIX for giving me this platform."

"With Elvis Goes There, EPIX will have the incredible opportunity to tell our audience the inspirations behind some of their favorite cinematic experiences," said Michael Wright, President, EPIX. "We're thrilled to partner with the brilliant Elvis Mitchell and the talented team at Zero Point Zero to unfold these never-before-told stories."

"Our respect for these incredible filmmakers allows us to look deeper into their creative process and see how they influence and are influenced socially, politically, culturally and creatively by cities of inspiration around the world. And there is no better person to bring these ideas forward then Elvis Mitchell," said Craig H. Shepherd, Vice President, Zero Point Zero Production.

Said Wildline's executive producer, Simon Helberg, "I've always been intrigued and maybe a little obsessed with the stories behind great works of art. But no one is as obsessed with these stories as Elvis Mitchell - so we sent him around the world to bring us back some answers from the most compelling filmmakers of our generation."

Elvis Goes There joins a growing slate of original programming for EPIX, including Godfather of Harlem (from executive producers Chris Brancato and Paul Epstein, and Oscar(R) winner Forest Whitaker, who also stars), drama series Pennyworth, the DC Comics origin story from Warner Horizon Television, and Our Lady, LTD, starring Oscar(R) winner Sir Ben Kingsley, all currently in production for 2019 debuts.
