NEW YORK, December 6, 2018 - Comedy Central and Chris Distefano have entered into a comprehensive overall deal with exclusive on- and off-camera services and a first look at content created/developed for any platform, it was announced today by Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, Executive Vice Presidents and Co-Heads of Talent and Development, Comedy Central.

The deal encompasses a number of projects already in development, including an all-new one-hour stand-up special, an animated series, an unscripted series, and the continuation of Comedy Central's Friday night interstitial series Stupid Questions with Chris Distefano.

External to the deal, forthcoming Distefano/Comedy Central projects already in development include a weekly podcast greenlit straight to series - expanding Comedy Central's Global Podcast Network - and the all-new one-hour stand-up special Chris Distefano: Size 38 Waist, which premieres January 18 at 11:00p.m. ET/PT as part of Comedy Central's Stand-Up Month (previously announced). Distefano is also a popular guest on Comedy Central's topical Friday-night stand-up series This Week at the Comedy Cellar, which airs at 11 p.m. ET/PT.

Premiere dates and details about projects in development under the terms of the overall deal will be announced at a later date.

Chris Distefano is based in New York and represented by Authentic, UTA, and Cohen Gardner. You can see him starring in the IFC series Benders, co-hosting Ultimate Beastmaster on Netflix, on his web series Bay Ridge Boys, and in the upcoming Amazon pilot Making Friends. Chris has appeared on MTV's Guy Code and Girl Code, as well as truTV's Comedy Knockout. He recently starred in and Co-Executive Produced the Sony/CBS pilot Distefano, based on his life and written by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, the creators of How I Met Your Mother. Chris has performed stand-up on Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC, Late Show with David Letterman on CBS, and The Half Hour on Comedy Central. He was a New Face at the 2013 Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, and can be seen performing almost every weekend at all the major clubs across the country.
