BLACK MIRROR (Netflix) - Miley Cyrus has reportedly been cast in a yet-to-be-revealed role for the anthology's fifth season. (Deadline.com)
LETTER FOR THE KING, THE (Netflix) - Amir Wilson is set to topline FilmWave's coming-of-age drama series, based on Tonke Dragt's fantasy novel, about a teenage squire, Tiuri (Wilson), who embarks on a perilous mission to deliver a secret letter to the king. Also cast in the project are Ruby Serkis as Lavini; Nathanael Saleh as Piak; Thaddea Graham as Iona; Islam Bouakkaz as Arman; Jack Barton as Foldo; Jonah Lees as Jussipo; Yorick van Wageningen as King Favian; Gijs Blom as Prince Viridian; Jakob Oftebro as Crown Prince Iridian; Emilie Cocquerel as Queen Alianor; Ken Nwosu as Ristridin; Peter Ferdinando as Jaro; Kemi-Bo Jacobs as Darya; David Wilmot as Slupor; Tawfeek Barhom as Jabroot; and Omid Djalili as Sir Fantumar. ONE DOLLAR (CBSAA) - The streaming service has passed on a second season for the series, marking its first cancellation since its October 2014 launch. "While 'One Dollar' won't be coming back for another season, we're incredibly proud of its artistically presented 10-episode story, which will continue to be available for streaming on the service and for future audiences to discover," Julie McNamara said in a statement. "We thank the tremendous creative team, Craig Zobel, Matt DeRoss, Alexandre Dauman, Graham Gordy and Jason Mosberg, and the wonderful cast for their hard work and dedication to this series, as well as our viewers for following 'One Dollar's' journey." STARGIRL (DC Universe) - Joel McHale will play the legendary Starman in DC Universe's live-action "Stargirl" series. "A courageous and confident Super Hero, Starman is a member of the Justice Society of America - DC's original Super Hero team, which first appeared in ALL-STAR COMICS #3 in 1940. SWAMP THING (DC Universe) - Ian Ziering will drop by the upcoming series as Blue Devil, a stuntman turned hero who fights occult evil. "Stuntman turned movie star, Daniel Cassidy became semi-famous after playing the demonic Blue Devil.
