STARZ SIGNS EXCLUSIVE TWO-YEAR DEAL WITH WRITER AND PRODUCER HEATHER ZUHLKE

Santa Monica, Calif. - December 13, 2018 - Starz, a Lionsgate company (NYSE: LGF.A, LGF.B), today announced it has signed Writer and Producer Heather Zuhlke (STARZ Original series "Power," "Tell Me A Story," "Southland") to a two-year overall deal. Under the pact, Zuhlke will develop new projects exclusively for the network and join the writing staff of the drama series "The Continental" from Starz and Lionsgate as co-executive producer. "The Continental" is the television series adaptation of the highly successful Lionsgate film franchise John Wick, currently in development.

"Heather is a wonderful addition to 'The Continental' creative team," said Starz President of Programming Carmi Zlotnik. "Her writing background along with her unique and personal perspective on law enforcement will enhance the thrilling underground world in the series. We look forward to developing new and exhilarating projects with Heather under her new overall deal."

Heather Zuhlke most recently served as co-executive producer on Kevin Williamson's streaming series "Tell Me a Story" (CBS All Access) and previously worked as a co-executive producer on the hit STARZ crime drama "Power," contributing to the show's 2018 NAACP Image Award win for Outstanding Drama Series. Before spending three seasons on "Power," Zuhlke previously wrote on all five seasons of TNT's critically acclaimed "Southland," sharing in the cop drama's 2012 Peabody Award. Zuhlke started her career in 2000 as the executive assistant to the prolific Emmy(R)-winning Showrunner John Wells. Zuhlke graduated with a BA in Communications from California State Fullerton and is married to a Police Sergeant and SWAT Officer.
