BATWOMAN (The CW) - The netlet has given a pilot order to the Ruby Rose-led superhero drama with David Nutter signing on direct and executive produce. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Geoff Johns and writer Caroline Dries also serve as executive producers. Rose's Kate Kane was introduced during the network's annual "Arrowverse" crossover event last month. (Deadline.com)
FEAR THE WALKING DEAD/THE WALKING DEAD (AMC) - Austin Amelio's Dwight reportedly will transition to the spin-off series following his banishment by Daryl (Norman Reedus) in the season eight finale. No other specifics were given. (ComicBook.com)
SIMULTANEOUS (Hulu, New!) - The streaming service is developing a potential drama series "described as a cerebral detective thriller involving regenerative past lives." The project, which has a six-figure penalty should it not move forward, is based on screenwriter Eric Heisserer's short story with Colby Day set to pen the script. Heisserer, Lawrence Grey and James Wan then will executive produce. (Deadline.com)
