INTERROGATION (CBSAA) - Peter Sarsgaard has signed on for the lead role of the high-concept drama series, which is based on a true story that spanned more than 30 years, in which a young man was charged and convicted of brutally murdering his mother. Each episode is structured around an interrogation taken directly from the real police case files. The first nine episodes of the series will be available to watch in any order, and the conclusive season finale will be released at a later date. Sarsgaard will play the detective on the case. LINCOLN (A.K.A. THE BONE COLLECTOR) (NBC) - Mark Bianculli and V.J. Boyd's small screen take on Jeffery Deaver's novel "The Bone Collector" has received a pilot commitment from the network. Universal Television, Sony Pictures Television and Keshet Studios are co-producing. (Deadline.com)
MRS. FLETCHER (HBO) - Cameron Boyce has joined the cast of the Kathryn Hahn-led comedy series as Zack, "Brendan's (Owen Teague) new college roommate who is very ingratiating towards Eve (Hahn) during move-in weekend." (Deadline.com)
PEARSON (USA) - The cable channel has formally titled its "Suits" spin-off series "Pearson," after the eponymous Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres). The project is set to roll out later this year. (Deadline.com)
PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS (Showtime) - Daniel Zovatto has scored a lead role on John Logan's new incarnation of the franchise as Tiago: "LAPD's first Mexican-American detective, Tiago grapples with racism, childhood trauma, and faith issues in 1938 Los Angeles." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED KINBERG & WEIL PROJECT (Apple, New!) - Simon Kinberg and David Weil are reportedly on track for a 10-episode commitment from the company for a new science fiction series. Genre Films' Audrey Chon and Platform One's Katie O'Connell Marsh will also executive produce the project, only detailed as "a large-budget, ambitious, character-driven genre show." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED NYPD BLUE SPIN-OFF PROJECT (ABC) - Fabien Frankel has booked the lead role in the follow-up series, which follows Andy Sipowicz's son, Theo, as he tries to earn his detective shield and work in the 15th squad while investigating his father's murder. Theo seems to have taken after his father as he too is a hard-drinking, hard-headed and quick-witted cop. (Deadline.com)
WOLVES AND VILLAGERS (Quibi) - Naomi Watts has signed onto the Jason Blum-produced series for the short-form streaming service. Stuart Blumberg is writing and executive producing the drama, which is being likened to a "Fatal Attraction 2.0." (Variety.com)
