BIG BANG THEORY, THE (CBS) - Showrunner Steve Holland has signed a four-year overall deal with Warner Bros. Television, where he'll develop new series projects following the conclusion of the show's final season. (Deadline.com)
EDGE OF SEVENTEEN (YouTube) - Aya Cash and Lennon Parham are both set to recur on the feature-turned-TV pilot as Ms. Cosimano, "a new teacher at the high school in which the potential series," and Bonnie, "the mother to Mira," respectively. (THR.com)
FRIENDS-IN-LAW (NBC) - The Peacock has ordered a new pilot for Brian Gallivan's multi-camera comedy, about Brian and Jake, who are polar opposites and must quickly figure out how to coexist when their respective best friends decide to get married. Devere Rogers and James Davis starred in the last year's incarnation, which was helmed by Pamela Fryman. Warner Bros. Television is once again behind the project, as is returning executive producer Tom Werner. (Deadline.com)
GENIUSES (FOX, New!) - Lon Zimmet has scored a pilot order for a new multi-camera comedy from 20th Century Fox Television. The logline is as follows: "A family comedy about a blue-collar couple in South Jersey trying to get by and raise four kids, three of whom just happen to be certified geniuses."
MY BRILLIANT FRIEND (HBO) - Executive producer Jennifer Schuur has signed a two-year overall deal with HBO. The pact covers her duties on the show's second season as well as any future development. (THR.com)
RESIDENT EVIL (Netflix, New!) - Constantin Film is developing a small screen take on the video game/film franchise, which "will explore the dark inner workings of the Umbrella Corporation and the new world order caused by the outbreak of the T-virus." The search is underway for a writer. The news comes on the heels of the company hiring Johannes Roberts to write and direct a potential feature reboot with a new cast. (Deadline.com)
RICHARD LOVELY (FOX) - Writer Billy Finnegan and director Kat Coiro's single-camera comedy pilot has been ordered to pilot by the network. 20th Century Fox Television is behind the project, the logline for which is as follows: "RICHARD LOVELY is the disgruntled author of the best-selling children's book series, Mr. Mouse. He doesn't hate children, but rather just everything about them. After a publicity fiasco involving an unexpectedly savvy 9-year-old kid, Mr. Mouse appears in Richard's real life as he is forced into an unlikely father/son relationship that will change his life forever."
STAN AGAINST EVIL (IFC) - Creator Dana Gould revealed on his podcast the series will not return for a fourth season. (@danagould)
WATCHMEN (HBO) - Dustin Ingram is the latest set to recur on the top secret drama, based on the iconic comic series. (Deadline.com)
