HUNT, THE (Amazon) - The Jordan Peele-produced Nazi hunter drama has cast Kate Mulvany as Sister Harriet, "one of the members of The Hunt"; James Le Gros as FBI Agent Grimbsy "who is also Millie's boss at the New York bureau"; Ebony Obsidian as Carol Hawthorne, "Jonah's neighbor and romantic interest"; Caleb Emery and Henry Hunter Hall as Jonah's best friends Arthur "Bootyhole" McGuigan and Sherman "Cheeks" Johnson, respectively; and Jeannie Berlin as Jonah's grandmother. IT'S BRUNO! (Netflix, New!) - Solvan "Slick" Naim has scored an eight episode order from the streaming service for a new comedy which "follows dog lover Malcolm (Naim), his best friend and canine companion Bruno, and the hilarious adventures that take place on their vibrant Brooklyn block." Rob Morgan and Shakira Barrera also star in the project, due on May 17, which is written, directed and executive produced by Naim. Molly Conners, Amanda Bowers, and Vincent Morano are producers for Stage 13, SLI Entertainment and Phiphen Pictures. (Deadline.com)
LAKE SUCCESS (HBO, New!) - Jake Gyllenhaal is attached to star in a limited series at the pay channel based on Gary Shteyngart's book, about "narcissistic, self-deluded and hilariously divorced from the real world, hedge fund manager Barry Cohen (Gyllenhaal) who flees his family, his past and the SEC on a cross-country bus ride in search of his college girlfriend and a last chance at romantic redemption." Stheyngart and Tom Spezialy are co-writing the project for Endeavor Content, with Nine Stories' Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker also set to executive produce. (Deadline.com)
LAST OF THE MOHICANS, THE (New!) - Writers Cary Joji Fukunaga and Nicholas Osborne and director Nicole Kassell are spearheading a small screen take on James Fenimore Cooper's famed novel-turned-1992 feature, "a retelling of Cooper's French and Indian War novel that re-centers the classic tale on the unlikely romance between Uncas, a young Mohican, and Cora, the mixed-race daughter of a British colonel." Paramount Television is behind the project with Anonymous Content's Alex Goldstone, Bard Dorros and Michael Sugar also executive producing. (Deadline.com)
LOVE, SIMON (Disney+, New!) - Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger are looking to bring their 2018 movie to the small screen with a TV series at the streaming service. In the project, billed as a remake, "life is complicated for 17-year-old Simon who hasn't told his family or friends he's gay, and doesn't know the identity of the anonymous classmate he's fallen for online." Said duo will write and executive produce for 20th Century Fox Television. Temple Hill Entertainment's Marty Bowen will also executive produce while the film's director Greg Berlanti, will not be involved due to his exclusive overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE, THE (CBS) - Kari Lizer has signed a multi-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. The pact calls for her to develop new series projects for the studio. Lizer had previously been developing for "Christine" producer Warner Bros. Television, where four of her scripts went to pilot. (Deadline.com)
RIGHTEOUS GEMSTONES, THE (HBO) - Walton Goggins will recur on Danny McBride's new comedy for the pay channel as Baby Billy, "a former child star who clogged and sang for Jesus. As an aging man, he's fallen on hard times and comes to the Gemstones for salvation." (Deadline.com)
SANDLOT, THE (Disney+, New!) - David Mickey Evans's 1993 movie is the latest title being eyed for a TV series at the upcoming streaming service. The series will "take place in 1984 and focus on the children of the original kid team in the movie." Said effort is separate from the prequel film which Evans is writing with Austin Reynolds, "which is to take place in the 1950s." (Deadline.com)
SHAMELESS (Showtime) - Noel Fisher's Mickey Milkovich has booked a return trip for the show's 10th season. (@SHO_Shameless)
SUPERSTORE (NBC) - Ana Ortiz and Anjelah Johnson will both drop by an upcoming episode of the series. Ortiz will play Claudia Lankow, "a no-nonsense Senior Vice President of Operations at Cloud 9 who holds the fate of the Ozark Highlands store in her hands." And Johnson is Robin Green, "a labor organizer from Retail Workers United - who is there to talk to the Cloud 9 employees about possibly joining a union." (GiveMeMyRemote.com)
TITANS (DC Universe) - Iain Glen has been cast as the iconic Bruce Wayne in the show's second season, due this fall. (Deadline.com)
TRANSPARENT (Amazon) - Creator Jill Soloway has confirmed the show's musical series finale is "expected to drop this fall." The episode, entitled "The Transparent Musicale Finale," will "begin with the passing of Maura (Jeffrey Tambor) and will follow the Pfefferman family - Shelly (Judith Light), Sarah (Amy Landecker), Josh (Jay Duplass), and Ali (Gaby Hoffmann) - as they all grapple with her death." Kathryn Hahn, Cherry Jones, Melora Hardin, Tig Notaro, Rob Huebel and Trace Lysette will also reprise their respective roles in the installment. (LATimes.com)
UNTITLED CASSIAN ANDOR SERIES (Disney+) - Alan Tudyk will reprise his "Rogue One" role of K-2S0 alongside Diego Luna's Cassian Andor in the upcoming live-action series at the streaming service. (Deadline.com)
