HIGH FIDELITY (Hulu) - Jake Lacy is set to star opposite Zoë Kravitz in the streaming service's TV reimagining of Nick Hornby's novel-turned-movie as Clyde, "who is effortlessly cute, if not the coolest guy in the room. A recent NY transplant from LA, he's still trying to figure out how to navigate the city. Despite his lack of interest in music, he reveals a funny and open side that intrigues Rob (Kravitz). But he might prove to be just like all the other guys... or so it seems." Additionally, Jesse Peretz will direct and executive produce the pilot from a script by Veronica West and Sarah Kucserka. Scott Rosenberg, Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner and Nick Hornby also executive produce while Adrienne Erickson will serve as a producer. (Deadline.com)
LAW & ORDER: SVU (NBC) - Warren Leight is returning as showrunner for "Law & Order: SVU's" historic 21st season. He'll succeed Michael Chernuchin, who will transition to fellow Dick Wolf-produced series "FBI" as part of a new overall deal with Universal Television. Leight, who is also spearheading the potential spin-off "Law & Order: Hate Crimes," will be joined by Norberto Barba and returning executive producers Wolf, Arthur W. Forney, Peter Jankowski, Julie Martin and Mariska Hargitay. (Deadline.com)
UTOPIA (Amazon) - Jeanine Serralles is the latest to be tapped for a role on Gillian Flynn's import of the U.K. series as Colleen: "A cheerful, self-possessed mortgage broker who encourages her scientist husband, Michael Stearns (Rainn Wilson), to step forward and assert himself in the midst of a national health crisis. Having found each other later in life, Colleen is her husband's biggest cheerleader and confidence booster." (Deadline.com)
