May 15, 2019, Hollywood, CA - The newly formed Disney Television Studios, a collection of studios comprised of Twentieth Century Fox Television, ABC Studios and Fox 21 Television Studios, under the leadership of President Craig Hunegs, landed 14 new network series and returned 24, continued to deliver hits to every major broadcast network, and was responsible for five of the top ten broadcast entertainment programs this year.

"This was our first development season as a collective and our results already demonstrate the scope and power of our studios," commented Hunegs. "But we are really just getting started. I want to personally thank and congratulate our creative partners on delivering some of the finest pilots and series of this or any year. I also am grateful to our studio teams led by Jonnie, Howard and Patrick for supporting these talented producers and performers, removing obstacles in their way and creating environments in which they can do their best work. We are committed to making Disney Television Studios the best home for creative talent in our industry, and we're enormously encouraged by these early returns."

Highlights of Disney Television Studios' successful development season include spinoffs of two of its most popular franchises: "9-1-1: Lone Star" from the producing team of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear and starring Rob Lowe, and "Mixed-ish" from Peter Saji, Kenya Barris and Karin Gist; three new animated comedies for Fox ("Bless The Harts" from Emily Spivey, "Duncanville" from Amy Poehler, Mike Scully and Julie Scully, and "The Great North" from Lizzie, Molyneux, Wendy Molyneux and Minty Lewis); the A.I. suspense thriller "neXt" from Manny Coto ("24"), John Requa and Glenn Ficarra ("This Is Us"); "Stumptown," starring Cobie Smulders and based on the graphic novel series from Jason Richman; "Outmatched," from Lon Zimmet ("Men at Work") and starring Maggie Lawson and Jason Biggs; Michele Fazekas & Tara Butters' "Emergence" starring Allison Tolman; "Filthy Rich" from Tate Taylor ("The Help), John Norris, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo and returning Kim Cattrall to series television; and co-productions "United We Fall" from Julius "Goldy" Sharpe; "For Life" from Hank Steinberg, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and George Tillman, Jr.; and "The Baker and the Beauty" from Dean Georgaris.
