BURDEN OF TRUTH (The CW) - The netlet has cleared the series for a third season. Original broadcaster CBC commissioned said eight-episode run back in March. (Deadline.com)
CONDOR (Audience) - Rita Volk is bound for the show's second season as Polina, "an employee of the Russian embassy in Washington, DC who harbors secrets of her own." (Deadline.com)
LA FRESA (Amazon, New!) - Kay Cannon and Michele Grogin are set to team for a new "action comedy about a privileged girl who discovers that her cushy life was built by nefarious means. When her life is turned upside down, she must embark on a dangerous rescue mission and will come to do things she never thought she could (or would) do." K&L Productions' Cannon will also direct the potential pilot and executive produce alongside Point Grey Pictures' Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver for Sony Pictures Television. Grogin will co-executive produce. (Deadline.com)
SILICON VALLEY (HBO) - The show's upcoming sixth season has been confirmed as its last. "'Silicon Valley' has been a career and life highlight for us," Mike Judge and Alec Berg said in a statement. "We'll miss it desperately, but we've always let Pied Piper's journey guide the way, and Season 6 seems to be the fitting conclusion. We are forever indebted to our incredible cast, crew and partners at HBO. At a certain point, there's only so much we can do to make the world a better place." The seven-episode swan song is due later this year. (Deadline.com)
WHAT JUST HAPPENED??! WITH FRED SAVAGE (FOX) - Rob Lowe has been tapped as the first celebrity guest on the aftershow parody series while Kevin Zegers, Guillermo Diaz, Shiri Appleby, Duane Henry, Tyler Ritter, Kai Wener, Amy Acker, Sola Bamis and Sprague Grayden are set as the show-within-a-show's cast. Zegers plays the lead role of Chester, "a handyman who realizes he's meant to save the world"; with Diaz as Stan, "a conservative family man who becomes desperate enough to stop at nothing to keep his loved ones safe"; and Appleby as Lisa, "a tough, blue-collar loner who overcomes a dark past to become a strong leader." The nine-episode series premieres on Sunday, June 30. (THR.com)
