DIVORCE (HBO) - The pay channel has confirmed tonight's season three launch will mark the series' last. "Sarah Jessica Parker has a unique ability to showcase the complexities of personal relationships with such empathy and humor," said Amy Gravitt, EVP, HBO Programming. "With Divorce, she took our audiences through the keyhole and into the lives of a modern day couple dealing with the fallout of splitting up. As we end with the 3rd and final season of the show, we look forward to our next endeavor with Sarah Jessica and Pretty Matches." (Deadline.com)
FAMILY MATTERS/HANGIN' WITH MR. COOPER/PERFECT STRANGERS/STEP BY STEP (WarnerMedia OTT, New!) - Said group is reportedly among Warner Bros. Television's library titles under consideration for reboots or revivals on the company's upcoming streaming service. No auspices or other specifics were given as all talks are in the exploratory stages. Streaming rights to all four original series are currently exclusive to Hulu. (Deadline.com)
FBI: MOST WANTED (CBS) - Fred Berner, who helmed the show's original backdoor pilot episode, has joined the series full time as an executive producer/in-house director. (Deadline.com)
FIERCE QUEENS (Quibi, New!) - BBC Studios Natural History Unit has set up a new series at the short-form streaming service. The project "will look at animals including hyenas, fireflies, meerkats, and humpback whales from a female perspective." Jo Shinner will executive produce for the company. (Variety.com)
FLIGHT ATTENDANT, THE (WarnerMedia OTT, New!) - Kaley Cuoco will topline a new drama series for the streaming service based on Chris Bohjalian's book of the same name, about Cassandra Bowden, "a flight attendant wakes up in the wrong hotel, in the wrong bed, with a dead man - and no idea what happened." Steve Yockey is penning the adaptation with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter of the Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions also executive producing alongside Cuoco. Suzanne McCormack of Cuoco's Yes, Norman Productions, which recently signed a new two-year overall deal with the studio, will also co-executive produce. Filming is expected to begin this fall. SWEET MAGNOLIAS (Netflix) - Chris Klein, Jamie Lynn Spears and Justin Bruening are the latest cast in the Sherryl Woods adaptation. Klein will play Bill Townsend, "Serenity's leading pediatrician who struggles to navigate life in a small town after an unexpected fall from grace"; Spears is Noreen Fitzgibbons, "a young woman who came to Serenity to work as a nurse." And Bruening will play Cal Maddox, "a former professional baseball player who arrived in Serenity looking for a fresh start." (Deadline.com)
