100, THE (The CW) - Jason Rothberg has posted to social media the show's seventh season will indeed be its last. It's understood said swan song will last 16 episodes, capping the series run at 100. (@JRothenbergTV)
ARROW (The CW) - The network is reportedly mulling the "possibility" of a new spin-off series but that "it is prioritizing another DC Comics property for next season, without giving any details." Additionally, producers shared episode eight this season will be part of the "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover, airing January 14, with the series finale (episode 10) presumably airing later that same month. (Deadline.com)
HORSES, THE (The CW, New!) - A fictionalized account of singer-songwriter Rickie Lee Jones's life is set to be the focus of a potential series at the netlet: "Born in Chicago, Jones and her family moved to Arizona. She grew up riding horses, studying dance, and practicing swimming. When she was 10 years old the family moved to Olympia, Washington, where her father abandoned them. As a teenager, she ran away to her father's in Kansas City and dropped out of high school." The project, which is expected to feature music elements, is currently searching for a writer. (Deadline.com)
KATY KEENE/RIVERDALE (The CW) - The spin-off series will "be seeing some familiar faces from Riverdale crossing over to our Katy Keene show and our New York world," executive producer Michael Grassi told reporters at today's TCA Summer Press Tour. Ashleigh Murray, who played singer-songwriter Josie McCoy on the parent series, co-stars in "Katy Keene." (Deadline.com)
ROOKIE, THE (ABC) - Former co-star Afton Williamson took to social media this weekend to reveal she "quit the ABC series because of systematic racism/racially charged comments, bullying, and sexual harassment, which remained largely ignored by the producers of the show until the sexual harassment by the head of the hair department escalated to sexual assault at the wrap party and the person was fired." Producers Entertainment One and ABC Studios have both launched investigations. (Deadline.com)
