Compere then will play Darby's outspoken roommate Mallory, "who has a biting sense of humor and is able to deliver the hard truths that Darby sometimes needs to hear"; with Chao as Sara, "Darby's best friend and roommate since college who is in a long-term relationship with Jim"; and Vack is Jim, "described as a staffer at Politico who has an edge that keeps the wild and outgoing Sara in check." (Variety.com)
MILLION LITTLE THINGS, A (ABC) - Jason Ritter has been tapped to recur on the show's sophomore run as "someone with ties to Maggie's (Allison Miller) mother, Patricia (Melora Hardin)." Hardin will reprise her role as Patricia during season two, "while Chandler Riggs, Drea de Matteo and James Tupper are also set to return, as PJ, Barbara and Andrew." (TVLine.com)
PENNY DREADFUL: CITY OF ANGELS (Showtime) - Piper Perabo is the latest to recur on the series as Linda Craft, "the wife of Dr. Peter Craft (Rory Kinnear), who is head of the isolationist German-American Bund, and mother to Trevor (Hudson West) and Tom (Julian Hilliard)." (THR.com)
