FOUND (ABC, New!) - The Alphabet has given a put pilot commitment to Nkechi Okoro Carroll for a new drama which "centers around the premise that in any given year, over 600,000 people are reported missing in the U.S., and over half that number are people of color that the country seems to forget about. In Found, a Public Relations Specialist, who was once herself one of those forgotten ones, and her crisis management team now make sure there is always someone looking out for the forgotten missing people. But unbeknownst to anyone, this everyday hero is hiding a chilling secret of her own." Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter will also executive produce via their Warner Bros. Television-based Berlanti Productions. (Deadline.com)
MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH, THE (CBSAA) - John Hlavin has been tapped as co-showrunner of the upcoming drama as part of a new two-year overall deal with producer CBS Television Studios. (Deadline.com)
MARVEL'S MS. MARVEL (Disney+) - British writer Bisha K. Ali has been confirmed as the writer of the just announced series. (THR.com)
SERENDIPITY (NBC, New!) - Jonny Umansky has sold a small screen take on the 2001 film starring John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale to the Peacock in which "Harry and Claire fall in love one fateful night, are separated by circumstance and then spend years trying to find one another again... with a little help from the universe." Miramax Television's Bill Block and Caitlin Foito will also executive produce the dramedy. (Deadline.com)
SHOWTIME (HBO) - Michael Shannon has been cast as Jerry Buss, "majority owner of the Lakers during a period highlighted by the team's Showtime era during the 1980s," in the drama pilot, from writer Max Borenstein and director Adam McKay. (Deadline.com)
TOMMY (CBS) - Vladimir Caamaño has joined the cast of the midseason drama as "an ebullient Dominican transplant from Tommy's home city of New York, who becomes part of her security detail but also her off-the-shelf investigator as she solves crimes in pursuit of the truth." (Deadline.com)
W.H.I.P.S (BET, New!) - Wanda Sykes has sold a multi-camera comedy to the cable channel about "four former sitcom stars from the '80s and '90s who try to navigate the third acts of their lives together under one roof." Said moniker refers to "Women who are Hot, Intelligent, and in their Prime." Alyson Fouse will pen the script and executive produce alongside Sykes, Page Hurwitz, Kim McKoy and Tom Werner for Push It Productions and Werner Entertainment. Jake Densen is producing.
