CHARMED (The CW) - Poppy Drayton is joining the cast of the reboot series as "a powerful and mysterious witch named Abigael, [who] is brought into the fold by Macy, who finds her in an "injured and terrified" state after embarking on a solo mission, according to the episode's official synopsis." EARTH TO NED (Disney+, New!) - The Jim Henson Company and Marwar Junction Productions have scored a straight-to-series order for a new "comedic half-hour talk show in which an alien (and his lieutenant!) interview celebrity guests." Brian Henson, Vince Raisa, Joseph Freed and Allison Berkley are the executive producers. "The characters of Ned, Cornelius, their artificial intelligence BETI and army of "Clods" (cloned living objects of destruction) are brought to life by Jim Henson's Creature Shop." (THR.com)
MODERN FAMILY (ABC) - Courteney Cox will drop by the show's final season as herself as she "crosses paths with the Pritchetts at celebrity bowling tournament. Cox is paired with fellow celeb David Beckham at the event, and the duo find themselves getting drawn into a farce the family descends into involving bowling, 80s aerobacize classes, a terrifying pool slide, and three side by side hot tubs." NOS4A2 (AMC) - Ashley Romans, who recurred as Tabitha on the first season, is being promoted to regular for the series' sophomore run. (Deadline.com)
