#BLACKAF (Netflix) - The streaming service has renewed the Kenya Barris-led comedy for a second season. (Deadline.com)
ANOTHER LIFE (Netflix) - Tongayi Chirisa, Dillon Casey, Shannon Chan-Kent and Kurt Yaeger are all bound for the show's second season. Chirisa will join the cast as Richard Ncube, "a decorated veteran of many Earth campaigns"; with Casey recurring as Seth Gage, "Head of Homeland Security"; Chan-Kent as Iara, "a hybrid alien-human A.I."; and Yaeger as Dillon Conner, "a trained military engineer." BIRCH, THE (Facebook Watch) - The Crypt TV series has been renewed for a 10-episode second season. Jane Casey Modderno is returning to write with Xaria Dotson reprising her role as Evie Grayson. (Deadline.com)
LANGDON (NBC) - Valorie Curry and Eddie Izzard are the latest additions to the Dan Brown adaptation as Katherine, "a scientist who studies how consciousness can affect the physical world"; and Peter, "the Director of the Smithsonian and an influential mover and shaker in Washington, D.C.," respectively. NANCY WU DONE IT (Amazon, New!) - Kai Yu Wu and Jessica Henwick are set to team for a young adult series which "follows a frustrated Asian American female YA author who suddenly finds herself transported into one of her own books. As a result, she must work with the titular character she created - who she now hates - to solve an unfinished mystery." Vertigo Entertainment's Roy Lee and Miri Yoon are also on board to executive produce for Amazon Studios. (Deadline.com)
