CHRISSY'S COURT (Quibi) - The streaming service has commissioned a second season of the Chrissy Teigen-led courtroom reality series. (Deadline.com)
COMMUNITY (NBC) - Netflix and Hulu are pulling the "Advanced Dungeons & Dragons" episode due to a scene that contains blackface. (Deadline.com)
CONNECTING (NBC, New!) - Martin Gero and Brendan Gall have scored an eight-episode straight-to-series order for "an ensemble comedy about a group of friends trying to stay close (and sane) through video chats as they share the highs and lows of these extraordinary times." Universal Television, home to Gero's new overall deal, is producing. (Deadline.com)
D.A.R.Y.L. (TBS, New!) - Tony Hale is attached to star in a half-hour comedy for the cable channel billed as a follow up to the 1985 feature film of the same name in which "a top-secret, 10-year-old human weapon grew up to be a 44-year-old guy just trying to keep up with a world that he was never designed for." Jody Lambert and Matt Oberg are behind the project, which is set up at Paramount Television Studios. (THR.com)
DON'T LOOK DEEPER (Quibi) - The new sci-fi series is slated to roll out on Monday, July 27. (Variety.com)
FALL, THE (TNT, New!) - Jeremy Miller and Daniel Cohn are set to team for a "captivating paranoid thriller" at the network about "a woman whose dark secrets start to unravel her seemingly perfect life. Inspired by the Albert Camus tale of the same name." Ross Fineman and director Philip Noyce are also on board to executive produce for A+E Studios. (THR.com)
FAMILY GUY (FOX) - Mike Henry is stepping down as Cleveland Brown after 20 years. "I love this character, but persons of color should play characters of color," he said in a post to Twitter. (@mikehenrybro)
LA BREA (NBC) - The network has released the entire cast of the pilot with the exception of two of the leads, Natalie Zea and Zyra Gorecki. Said development follows the project's recent transition to a script-to-series model. (Deadline.com)
LANGDON (NBC) - Sumalee Montano, Rick Gonzalez and Beau Knapp have all scored roles on the Dan Brown novel-turned-TV pilot as Sato, "Director of the OS"; Nunez, "a uniformed Capitol policeman"; and Mal'akh, "who takes Langdon on a dangerous and arcane mission," respectively. (Deadline.com)
LIAR'S CLUB (TNT) - Amy Rutberg's drama - which "tells the story of a woman leading two very different lives - one adorned in the trappings of Connecticut country clubs, and the other drenched in the murkiness of the underground gambling circuit in NYC" - remains under consideration at the cable channel. Christopher Silber, Paul Giamatti and Dan Carey will executive produce for CBS Television Studios with Rutberg as a co-executive producer. (THR.com)
LUCIFER (Netflix) - Rob Benedict will guest on the show's fifth season as Vincent Le Mec, "a hardened French Mercenary whose violent work brings him to Los Angeles - and into the crosshairs of Lucifer, Chloe and the LAPD." (TVLine.com)
NINE PERFECT STRANGERS (Hulu) - Luke Evans has scored a role on the Nicole Kidman/Melissa McCarthy-led limited series as Lars, "one of the nine "perfect" strangers." Manny Jacinto also stars. (Deadline.com)
NURSE JACKIE (Showtime) - Co-creator Liz Brixius has signed a multi-year overall deal with Miramax Television where she'll develop new series projects. (Deadline.com)
OFFICE, THE (NBC) - Creator Greg Daniels has cut a blackface scene from the "Dwight Christmas" episode where a character appeared in blackface. The change will be reflected on its streaming and syndicated offerings. (Deadline.com)
SELF MADE: INSPIRED BY THE LIFE OF MADAM C.J. WALKERE (Netflix) - LeBron James and Maverick Carter's Springhill Entertainment has signed a two-year overall deal with ABC Studios. The pact is exclusive to scripted television. (Deadline.com)
SIMPSONS, THE (FOX) - The network has released a statement indicating: "Moving forward, THE SIMPSONS will no longer have white actors voice non-white characters."
SPACE (TBS, New!) - Hilary Winston has set up a potential project at the network in which "on the verge of a break-up, long-term couple Rob and Marin are granted the ultimate "space" to figure out their future when they suddenly begin jumping into the bodies of other couples." Stoller Global Solutions' Nick Stoller is also on board to direct and executive produce for Sony Pictures Television. (THR.com)
