Lifetime presents two new television specials this July offering viewers a very different perspective on two major life events - childbirth and marriage.

The Baby Factory: Alabama

Lifetime Special

Wednesday, July 15 at 10 pm ET/PT

In The Baby Factory: Alabama, the joys and pains of childbirth are on full display as cameras go behind closed doors at one of the busiest labor and delivery units in the country: Baptist Medical Center East in Montgomery, Alabama.

During the one-hour special, the hospital's doctors and nurses reveal the unique circumstances, daily stresses and challenges as they deliver dozens of babies - more than 300 each month. Candid and raw, the show follows four stories of new lives brought into the world, including a 26-week pregnant woman who is rushed to the maternity ward after a doctor's examination reveals her life is in danger; a father desperately trying to make it to the hospital in time for the birth of his twins; a first-time mother determined to have natural childbirth; and a young couple preparing for the arrival of their second child.

An emotional and heartwarming rollercoaster ride, The Baby Factory: Alabama captures birth like viewers have never seen it before - from the unique perspectives of patients and medical staff, heroes all.

The Baby Factory: Alabama is produced by Truly Original for Lifetime. Executive producers include Glenda Hersh, Steven Weinstock, Lucas Howe and Shari Ortner for Truly Original, alongside Brie Miranda Bryant and Kimberly Chessler for Lifetime.

Happily Ever Altered

Lifetime Special

Wednesday, July 22 at 10 pm ET/PT

On the one-hour Happily Ever Altered Lifetime special, a bride and groom to-be embark on major physical transformations, so they can be picture-perfect on their big day. The catch is that they are completely separated from one another, from the start of their transformational surgeries, all the way through their physical and emotional healing, and up to their wedding day where they'll reveal their new look to each other right before the ceremony!

Alexa has dreamed of her perfect wedding since she was a little girl, but that dream didn't include her walking down the aisle weighing over 300 pounds. In 2016, when she topped out at 305 pounds, she knew something had to be done and decided to have the gastric sleeve procedure performed. After losing half of her body weight - and just as she was beginning to gain self-confidence back - she met Matt, and they have been dating ever since.

Now, they are ready to take that next step in their relationship and get married, but first want to make sure they are looking their absolute best before saying "I Do" in front of family and friends. For Matt, that means full liposuction across his stomach and sides, replacing a missing tooth, and whitening his teeth. For Alexa, it's ditching all the loose skin under her arms, having liposuction around her torso, getting a breast lift and implants, and a tummy tuck, along with new veneers. They've both decided to undergo these massive surgeries at the same time, then live apart during their recovery... all while planning the wedding of their dreams. They won't see each other's transformations until Alexa walks down the aisle on their wedding day. Will Alexa and Matt like what they see? How will these massive surgeries and time apart impact how they see themselves and each other? Can they live Happily Ever Altered? Viewers will have to tune-in to find out.

Happily Ever Altered is produced by Thinkfactory Media, an ITV America company, for Lifetime. Executive producers include Adam Reed, Adam Freeman, Tim Cohen-Laurie and Gina Rodriguez from Thinkfactory Media, alongside Shura Davison and Gena McCarthy from Lifetime.
