ALL RISE (CBS) - Lindsey Gort's Amy Quinn, "a private defense lawyer who recently joined forces professionally with legal powerhouse Rachel Audubon to start a new firm that takes on controversial cases," will be promoted to regular on the show's second season. (Deadline.com)
AMERICAN HORROR STORIES (Hulu) - Franchise staple Sarah Paulson is set to direct on the upcoming anthology spin-off series. (Deadline.com)
FLIGHT ATTENDANT, THE (HBO Max) - Michelle Gomez has boarded the upcoming Kaley Cuoco-led drama as Miranda, "a hardened, savvy businesswoman with anger-management issues who Cassie meets in Bangkok." She replaces Sonoya Mizuno, who was initially cast in the role which was subsequently reworked in a different creative direction. (Deadline.com)
MIMIC (New!) - Miramax Television is looking to reboot the 1997 horror sci-fi thriller as a TV series. Writer Jim Danger Gray, director Paul WS Anderson and producer Jeremy Bolt are among the auspices on the project, which will be shopped to buyers soon. No plot specifics were given. (Deadline.com)

SCIENCE OF DATING, THE (Lifetime, New!) - OZY Media and Six West Media are developing a reality project at the cable channel which "aims to reveal the "science" behind finding true love." SORCERERS (AMC, New!) - Maurice Broaddus and Otis Whitaker's novella featuring illustrations by Jim Mahfood - "a psychedelic urban fantasy about a 30-year-old man from Harlem who comes into his own as a hip hop-inspired sorcerer" - is being developed for television by the cable channel. NeoText's John Schoenfelder, Russell Ackerman and Jay Schuminsky will serve as executive producers with Nick Mennuti and Eric Raab as co-executive producers. (Deadline.com)
WHO'S THE BOSS? (New!) - Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano are attached to star in a proposed sequel to the 1984-92 ABC series from Sony Pictures Television. The new show "will take place 30 years after the events of the original series, centered around former Major League Baseball player/retired housekeeper Tony Micelli and his relationship with his daughter Samantha Micelli. She is now a single mother, living in the house the original series was set in." Norman Lear, Brent Miller and Dan Farah will executive produce alongside Danza and Milano for Act III Productions and Farah Films. (Deadline.com)
