BIG SKY/GOOD DOCTOR, THE/MIDNIGHT MASS/MIGHTY DUCKS, THE/MILLION LITTLE THINGS, A/MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY, THE/TURNER & HOOCH (Various) - Seven Vancouver-based series are on track to begin production following deals between the BC Council of Film Unions and producers Sony Pictures Television, Disney Television Studios and Netflix. Other series looking to begin production include "Charmed" from CBS Television Studios and "Supernatural," "The Flash" and "Superman & Lois" from Warner Bros. Television. (Deadline.com)
BRUH/RUTHLESS (BET+) - Filming on both series is expected to begin shortly with back-to-back shoots at Tyler Perry Studios following the successful productions of "The Oval" and "Sistas." (Deadline.com)
CHRISTMAS COOKIE CHALLENGE (Food Network) - Filming on the upcoming fourth season of the holiday series has wrapped early after "a crew member tested positive for COVID-19 this week" at Quixote Studios outside of New Orleans. The new season will now consist of six episodes instead of eight. Production on the network's other holiday programming - "Halloween Baking Championship," "Holiday Baking Championship," "Kids Baking Championship" and "Spring Baking Championship" - began last month in California, "with the casts and crews quarantining at a resort." CLUELESS (Peacock, New!) - The streaming service has landed the small screen reboot of the 1995 film, described as a "baby pink and bisexual blue-tinted, tiny sun-glasses wearing, oat milk latte and Adderall-fueled look at what happens when queen bee Cher disappears and her lifelong number two Dionne steps into Cher's vacant Air Jordans." Jordan Reddout and Gus Hickey are behind the project with Corrinne Brinkerhoff, Scott Rudin, Robert Lawerence, Eli Bush and Tiffany Grant also executive producing for CBS Television Studios.
