Amazon Prime Video Greenlights New Amazon Original Series Porno y Helado

The new comedy series tells a story about friendship between two social outcasts and a young con artist who fake their way into starting a rock band

Buenos Aires, Argentina - March 10, 2021 - Amazon Studios today announced the greenlighting of an all-new Amazon Original series Porno y Helado, created, written and directed by Martin Piroyansky who also stars as the series lead Pablo, a 30-year-old man-child who along with his loser best friend, Ramon (Nachito Saralegui), and young con artist Ceci (Sofia Morandi), create a fake rock band that takes the local music scene by storm. Pablo and Ramon's shared love for watching pornography and eating ice cream inspire their first pop hit and soon the lie spirals out of control.

The legendary Susana Giménez, will be marking her re-debut as an actress in a supporting role for the Argentinean series and will be performing along with Eliseo Barrionuevo, Martín Pavlovsky, Javier Niklison, Santiago Korovsky and Favio Posca.

The series is produced by Navajo Films a production company led by Lucas Vivo García Lagos, with the collaboration of Claxson and Salado. Mariano Kohan and Mariano Varela are the executive producers and Lucia Garibaldi, winner of best director on Sundance Film Festival 2019 for Los Tiburones, will join Martin Piroyansky as second director.

Porno y Helado is comprised of eight 30-minute episodes and is the latest Amazon Original series announced by Amazon Prime Video. It joins a growing list of critically acclaimed local series such as El Presidente, Pan y Circo and La Jauria, along with other upcoming titles such as Iosi el Espia Arrepentido, La Jauria 2, Colonia Dignidad and Noticia de un Secuestro.
